I am not an expert but I follow similar strategy for SIP based on the analysis from last 20 years - Nifty (40%)+ Nifty Next50 (30%) + 2 Small Caps MF ( 15% each) --over the years it will provide consistent return..

Now market is life time high. In this condition it is advisable to put sip in balanced fund and when the market starts in bear phase then shift entire amount of balanced fund in equity small cap fund and shift dip from balanced to same small cap fund
