Hi Kristie, I love them all but my fav is one of the last ones with all the little squares, you did use lots of the tape runner, you just don't realise how much goes into all these cards when you do so many, I allway love watching you make these video's, TFS, cheers Anna.

Pat Zatorski Aw, thank you! I cut out my matted layer first. Then I line up 3 sides before adhering it. If I’m off just a bit, it’s easy enough to just trim the fourth side. 🙂
McCoko Thank you! I generally select the background paper first after deciding on the next sketch. If I don’t have enough pattern papers for the background, I’ll use solid cardstock instead. Then I’ll choose the other pattern papers that I think will work well for the sketch. Using 6x6 paper pads for cards makes it easier since most of the papers coordinate. 🙂

Beautiful cards all, I couldn't pick a favorite! Being a newbie to Queen & Co. I did have one question though.....is there any rhyme or reason why you used some of the "outline" die cut shapes behind some of the shakers and not others? That had me wondering what I was missing about the technique.
Karen Shuster Thank you! I appreciate your kindness. I hope you enjoy Queen & Company products as much as I do. 😊 Sometimes the foam pieces aren’t exactly the same size as the cut out paper die cuts. Then you can see the edges of the background paper through the shaker. For example, the red tulip was placed on yellow cardstock. I didn’t want the yellow cardstock visible inside the shaker, so I cut out an extra red tulip outline to adhere first. It’s not necessary, just something I like to do.
what would be a good die/embellisment machine to purchase for a reasonable price? can i use other die sets on different types of machines? I saw a Tim Holtz Sizzix at Tuesday Morning for $24.99, not sure if it is a good purchase or not
DisneyFunatic317 Hello. I believe that particular die machine is the SideKick. It’s a very small die machine and won’t cut very large dies. If you are only planning on using small dies, it would be fine. I have the Sizzix Big Shot. It is a larger machine. But it will cut most dies easily and it also dry embosses. I really like the machine I use and have had it for many years. It is an investment though.

Do you have any tricks for matting your layers? I don’t seem to be able to get them even. Yours always look beautiful.
