In order to capture the content played in VMIX in resolume, NDI is not necessary, it is enough to enable the External Gear symbol below in VMIX, in resolume there is Vimix Video in the source and you can drag it into the timeline and use it.

Vmix can’t play fancy PowerPoint animations and transitions. Better idea would be, run from PowerPoint and keep a dedicated display for that. Then use ndi hx to capture that display as ndi

Check of firewall is blocking NDI output. Firewalls aren’t needed for licensed software. If you still face the error, it’s better to complain to vMix. They take great care of their customers.
While I understand the appeal of this solution, it is important to highlight that relying solely on software-based systems may not provide the necessary security and reliability for a high-stakes corporate event. While Resolume is indeed a solid tool for visual playback, it is designed primarily for creative visuals rather than acting as a dedicated playback system for critical content in a professional setting. Additionally, relying on software such as Resolume and vMix to replace a hardware-based graphics and video mixer is not advisable. Hardware solutions are purpose-built for reliability, and in high-pressure scenarios, the stability and dependability of such systems far exceed what software can offer. However, if the decision is to move forward with this software-based approach, it is essential to understand that there may be risks involved in terms of show reliability and client satisfaction.

What do you even mean ? VHS?
Depends how well you build a pc for vmix. Software is only as good as your hardware parts and config.
