This is Monday the 12th October 2009 at the pumping Lyall Bay surf break.

Cheers!..That was my first attempt at making a video. I used Windows Movie Maker. It's really easy to use.. I wonder how big Tora would of been on the Sunday/Monday!
yep, definitely Lyall Bay. 50 heads in the water, 35 kooks, 5 that can surf, and 10 assorted driftwood on lids, mals, and other miscellany floating craft. Love the snaking and abject lack of courtesy. The reason I loved surfing Breaker Bay--crowd control. But in all honesty, great video of the surf!

@lbsrep The GC will be awesome! I see it's been pumpin in Raglan/Taranaki over the last week or two. I have a mate in Wgtn who tells me it's been average lately. I went down to Bells Beach last Sunday, sh*t it was on fire, only took my still camera though.

like the video,the waves are not holding up too long unfortunatly, the amount of surfers there are like flys on sh*t. im from ireland and in my county alone is 160 miles of beachs,absolutly spoiled for choice,i find it strange seeing so many surfers waiting for the same break.but wellington is a big city too so what can u do!!

@seantheoriginal86 Yeah, that break is only about 5 minutes drive from central Wellington, in Summer it's just ridiculous. I watched a doco by some Irish surfer, Ireland looks wicked! /watch?v=1swPZzxv0tI
