- Join us onboard G-PFTB, a Tecnam P208 as we carry out an overhead join and touch'n'go for RWY 19 at Oxford International Airport, UK [EGTK]
An overhead join is a standard way of joining the circuit at an unfamiliar airfield, usually flying overhead the airport at 1000ft above the circuit pattern and then descending on the dead side, followed by a crosswind join to the circuit pattern.

Enjoy!
I train at Oxford and haven't had the chance to do an Overhead Join myself but I've done it at Conington many times. Thanks for sharing.
I love doing the overhead join, something about it is so satisfying 😂
Masha Allah
Great video and a lovely part of the world. However, the pre-flight brief shouldn't be conducted on the approach, so many of those questions should have been asked in the briefing room. Still, videos like this partly help 'remove the clouds' for aspiring pilots in the future, so thank you for sharing and helping to build their library of knowledge.
Finally 🥲
