Honestly if you don’t like the video don’t waste your time please go with your negativity to other places!!!! Keep up with your good work Sam Villa and thanks 🙏 for all the videos you do to help others like me ✨🦋🦋🦋
Finally! Someone that back combs like I do! To all the people saying its super damaging.... I've been doing this on my own hair and clients hair for years. If you explain how to get it out, the damage is about the same as when you straighten it. For my purposes, as a dance teacher, teasing this way is the only way to keep that volume through the intense routine. Good work Sam!
I am a qualified hairdresser and have been doing updos the hard way. His technique definitely works. He has one awards for a reason so for all you haters I don't see your awards. Get off your ass and post some useful videos that are equal to or better than Sam's then I will take your comments seriously. The updo may not be to your liking but the main idea is what he is trying to teach you. Keep up the good work Sam your help for me has made my hairdressing so much easier:)
so true!!! maybe people that leave bad comments is because they don't even know how to do a pony tail. Is just a technic and they look only on the imperfection.
Have used the Pomp Double Fold for years however, it's not till u see someone else use the technique that u appreciate the beauty of Doublr Fold look! The knots over n Pinned is Genious!!! A way to avoid hair brakage after rocking this look is to wash the hair n conditioning it; towel dry it THEN gently brush in sections from the nape area all the way to the hairline. The more sections, the less brakage. Great work!!! ;D
I love these videos! I'm not a professional hairstylist but I love learning new things. I showed my daughter your video on straightening hair and today she had done what you had taught her and texted me to say that she was having the best hair day ever! Thanks for sharing!
Oh I love this!! I noticed there were people asking about doing it on yourself, I think I might tackle just that! Also, that peace sign knot thing, is golden! I am an updo girl, I love my cuts and color clients, but my weddings are my favorite. I can't wait to try this both on me and on someone!!
I have a lot of hair and have a lot if fun with it. when I use back combing, I rush my conditioner through my hair and let it soak for 5 minutes or so. The oils lubricate the tangles and let them slide out without breaking or pain. It works well for my little ones too! Loving this channel!
I am a professional stylist, I love Sam Villa, he's not only talented stylist but also educator, and the two don't always go together. Back combing isn't anymore damaging than any of the other techniques we use in styling and it is necessary for putting hair up. I don't if this texture iron will do it better or be more or less damaging, I think it would hurt more though. I'm not a fan of the texture iron. I think it makes the hair look oddly frizzy, not to mention the hour extra it would take to style someones hair in salon, if using it. I do love the grip bracelet though!!!
I like having to create anything in an updo like this one. This gives me inspiration. I was telling myself I can only cut hair! Now I can try these at home on my kids. He takes making updos to the next level. Cause it looks fun which he explained it that way. It’s about trying and not being scared to learn outside the box of hairstyling.
Thanks Mr Villa for shares your quality experiences for helping new hairstylist including myself has learning so much of your techniques. You're great thank you so much! Pleases continue more videos for us to learning.
This is genius sam! I hate those pads and cushions, not to mention how old fashioned they are! I'm seriously looking into this!!! Keep up the great work!
This was gorgeous. Kind of reminded me of Imelda Marcos' hair (ex president of the Philippines wife who was known for her large number of shoes) but that's only because I lived in the Philippines growing up so I noticed her more than your average American. 😄I am growing my hair out and so I'm really into updos these days. I wish I could duplicate it. Will use some of the techniques like the bountiful teasing. I've just discovered you and I'm really loving and enjoying your videos. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this Sam because I recently tried a style similar to this but it didn't turn out right especially when I didn't have the definition I wanted and my hair is so thick to the point where it's so hard to manage and mold into place.
Love it!!! I would use a headband and some interesting looking earrings :) Love Love Love the back and he made it seem so easy! Thanks so much!!! Can't wait to try it!
You are an amazing artist, I love your videos. Just amazing work! Thank you for taking the time to show those of us who appreciate your work, how we can achieve your results! Thanks!
How well would this style hold if she went dancing? Also how would you advise the client to wash the teased hair? Love all you do thanks for the inspiration!!!
stunning. it would look interesting if there was some sort of curling iron treated finger waves in the front going to one side, and then moving to the back, connecting to the rest of the style .
I like the technique ... i am a hairstylist in Belgium ... 2 things i dont like are get the hairclip after out becouse you will alway see it a little after and the shape in the front does not accent the face positive ... but i like the technique verry much .. its a nice idee to work with in creatures and doing it fast for a little movie is always stress and can lead to little wrong things that other times not happend if you work relaxed in the salon ... did i say i love this technique? Realy nice 😎

This is an awesome comment, I totally agree

Love this! The hair model has such a pretty, delicate facial profile. The dramatic style really highlights this.
Glad you like it!
I love the idea of that magnetic wrist band. Great idea. keeps everything at easy reach. I never saw any stylist do that.

I love the texture in this hairstyle! Its so romantic and effortless.
Do you have a tutorial on how to brush that birds nest out your hair when it goes wrong?!
I love this style. Thanks Sam you are very generous.
Sam, I'm a student and I LOVE your videos. Please keep them coming. You rock! Thank you for sharing your knowledge....

I really learnt a whole lot from this one hairstyle. Thank you Sam Villa!!!

I love Sam, but am I the only one that noticed that her pomp isn't symmetrical? It's a bit lopsided..
It made my eye twitch...and he sprayed her in the face early on.

It looks great. I love a style with character. Backcombing is not for every day, but I think this is really cool for special occasions.

Beautiful sir love your work. Amazing.
Wow. Very good job 👍👌👏
I like everything you do! Your amazing! Your an artist!
Thank you so much I like the idea
May I say this style really didn't need that much back combing?
I think he's just _really_ trying to push that texturing iron. Really showing what it can do to a poor model or client.
simply beautiful
Why does the pomp look like it has been crimped after he combed it out?
cuz he texturized it with that crimping iron
Great rubish!!
Beautiful
The best Sam
This is really pretty is she wearing extensions ?
Practice makes perfect. I will try this on my daughter.
I hope you're okay with her crying halfway through... During the textured back combed poodle stage.
