Why silence ? I would be screaming at anyone who didn't find this marvelous. I had an "abusive" (if you must) friend, and I'm only 11 (not trying to be like "look at me I'm 11 and I dealt with this" just trying to put it out there). I can totally see myself singing this to him as he told me that he did at one point have a crush on me. I almost slapped him, and asked him if he was insane. Then I sent him home (he's kinda my neighbor, so whenever there's an argument, someone gets sent home, since we live so close). This lasted for 4 months and me and my other neighborhood friends HATED him. I finally learned why he was like this: He was raped in 3rd grade by another boy in the neighborhood. Since he is only 10 and he had to deal with that only 2 years ago, I immediately felt awful. We are friends again, and even though he had good reason, I never forgave him for what him, my other neighborhood friends, and I call "The 4 Months".

So a about a year ago I was really depressed and anxious because I was attending a new school where I knew nobody but my big brother and my mom was about to have triple bypass surgery (it's a kind of heart surgery). I was really shy and could never bring myself to speak to anybody but my teachers. Thank god my history teacher noticed that my mood got worse and worse everyday. She pulled me aside before class started and asked me if I was alright so I told her about everything. I also explained how I could never open up to anyone because I was afraid of people judging me or telling me to 'get over it' everyone at my other school did. My teacher told me, "If talking to people doesn't help try listening to music. I've been in your shoes and understand how you're feeling." Then she recommended some songs for me to listen to, with Moral of The Story being one of them. It really did help! I eventually also warmed up to the kids in my class. Now I'm in 10th grade and I've never been happier! Everyone is a lot nicer than I thought and they even helped talk me down from a panic attack. Music can soothe the mind and soul. Never be afraid to talk to people like I was, it only makes things worse! I learned that bottling up how you feel isn't healthy, so learn from my mistake so you don't make it yourself! If you feel depressed, anxious, scared, or anything that makes you unhappy just remember that if you want to get something off of your chest anonymously you can reply to this comment. I'm here!
