Would you like to make a Zamboni pile? Use that pipe to make a long stack of cell and have a very high voltage electrostatic battery.
Put two a low bandgap PN junction materials between disks and you will have a thermopile that make electricity day and night.
This is a my invention and is opensource !
I need smart guys like you, to test the hundreds of available variants.

Magnesium Nitrate and Epsom salt at a ration of 9 to 1 works wonderful. Add some Sodium Fluoride and pump in some Zinc Oxide and see how beautiful the battery will turn up. Otherwise passivation on a Magnesium anode cannot be wished away!

Much better now. Did you know that silver works well too and its stable in strong basic solution too so you can get more current density.

Love yer videos, but I wish you would talk on them, and tell us how many volts the meter says, how it works, the kind of metal strip in there, etc.

Hi again George, I'm really surprised to see such a fast corrosion of your magnesium and copper coil system using Epsom salt as electrolyte. Another reason to perhaps switch to another system of materials altogether maybe?

same here. how long did the new battery last?

would be very cool if you could do a tutorial on how to make a pipe battery with more commonly available materials. magnesium is available now but wont be when you really need the battery in an emergency.

Two dissimilar metals is usually enough. Copper Iron? Copper Zinc?

have you thought of oil the metal i notice most people think earth batteries are given power thru micros when its moisture in the soil and the fact that that thing did not last i s cause you need to alkiline the air thru a gas form which is as vapor to last long oil

    Hi,george it's a fantastic idea.
Brother I want a light weight battery system which can run my A C 1000watt angle grinder or drill machine for an hour.
    I shall be thankful 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Not with magnesium because hydrogen will bubble before the magnesium will plate out. But if you use other metals that can be plated like iron or silver yes it is rechargeable. If you use iron wire instead of magnesium, its called the Baghdad battery variant. This particular variant would likely be named after the city of the inventor I assume somewhere in Greece.
It looks like our inventor friend has borrowed the idea of the Archimedes screw. What if you make several layers of concentric pipes and connect them in series to get say 5.0 or 12 volts.
Maybe use a planar geometry for the coil that way you can stack multiple flat coils individually wrapped inside the tube. I bet you could fit 4 flat coils in there stacked and hooked in series. Depending on the metal you choose opposite the copper will determine the final voltage of the cell.
I think silver is the best. I think with silver wire and a stack of 4 you will have a 5.0 volt battery. Perfect to charge a cellphone. Use 3 in series and you could start your car.

Or if you can draw sum up for me? That would be way cool. Thanks.
