    A combined footing is a type of foundation designed to support two or more columns that are close enough that their individual footings would overlap. It ensures that the loads from these columns are distributed evenly to the soil. Combined footings are typically used when:
    1. Columns are closely spaced.
    2. The soil's bearing capacity is low.
    3. The property boundary restricts the use of independent isolated footings.
    Combined footings are usually rectangular or trapezoidal in shape and are designed to maintain uniform soil pressure under the footing.

    *Step-by-Step Construction Procedure for Combined Footing*
    1. *Site Preparation*
    Clear the construction area of any debris, vegetation, or obstructions.
    Perform a soil investigation to determine the soil's bearing capacity.
    2. *Marking and Layout*
    Mark the location and dimensions of the footing on the ground using chalk lines or other marking tools.
    Verify alignment and dimensions as per the structural design.
    3. *Excavation*
    Excavate the soil to the required depth and dimensions as per the design.
    Ensure the base of the excavation is level and compacted.
    4. *Preparation of Sub-Base*
    Lay a leveling layer of compacted sand or lean concrete (blinding layer) to provide a smooth, level surface for footing construction.
    5. *Formwork Installation*
    Install formwork (shuttering) for the combined footing as per the design dimensions.
    Ensure the formwork is rigid, properly aligned, and securely braced to prevent movement during concreting.
    6. *Reinforcement Placement*
    Place reinforcement bars (both longitudinal and transverse) as per the structural drawings.
    Use spacers and chairs to maintain the required cover between the reinforcement and the formwork.
    Ensure proper lapping, anchorage, and tying of bars.
    7. *Concrete Pouring*
    Mix the concrete as per the specified grade and slump requirements.
    Pour concrete into the footing, ensuring even distribution.
    Use vibrators to eliminate air voids and achieve proper compaction.
    8. *Surface Finishing*
    Level and smooth the surface of the footing using trowels.
    Provide a slight slope, if specified, for drainage.
    9. *Curing*
    Keep the footing covered and moist to ensure proper curing. This usually lasts for 7 to 14 days, depending on the concrete mix and environmental conditions.
    10. *Backfilling*
    After the concrete has gained sufficient strength, remove the formwork.
    Backfill the excavated area with soil, compacting it in layers to avoid settlement.
    11. *Inspection and Quality Assurance*
    Inspect the footing to ensure it meets the design specifications and standards.
    Check for proper alignment, dimensions, and reinforcement placement.
    Following these steps, a durable and efficient combined footing can be constructed to provide adequate support to the structure.

    What's the diameter of reinforcement for the horse benches? And it's purpose

      The purpose is the Separate the Top Reinforcement from the bottom Reinforcement so that they will not lap together and reduce the effective depth of the Base. The horse bench serves as a Chair for the top Reinforcement to sit on without collapsing to the bottom Reinforcement.
