I read somewhere that this storyline was supposed to carry on for quite a few years, but viewers were so upset and the show was getting so many complaints from Ofcom that they had to wrap it up sooner than they planned.

Nah even 4 months was long. I was hoping it would end in this clip but no. If it dragged it would've been boring especially since it was tearing kat and alfie apart
At 1.29, the confusion from the 2 Mums was really well written. Ronnie was talking about Tommy crying on NYE before she took him. Kat thought she was talking about there and then. 'He was crying, you're a Mum, they don't understand' as she handed him over.
Felt sorry for Jack in this storyline...He believed Tommy was his son and Ronnie was acting psycho trying to give him back to Kat and he didn't understand what was going on.
I agree. He lost James AND Tommy, grieving twice. Then he lost Ronnie as she went to prison. Then he lost Ronnie and Roxy (his children's Mums) hours after marrying Ronnie.

She tried to give tommy back ages ago but she went to crazy with grief to give Tommy back properly. And plus bruh the timing….but then again when can there ever be the perfect time to give someone back a baby they thought died and say they saw your dead baby. Even though tbf defo doing it after burial is brutal af
When it happened they were fresh newborns, I think a week old - in fact I even think the babies were a few days old… so very fresh faces and also Kat did say that in the beginning. She kept telling Alfie that the dead baby was not her baby but in the end she had to let it go because people thought she was in denial
This is honestly the worst storyline they’ve ever done. I just feel bad for Samantha because she was giving a great performance for a really odd storyline. I get postpartum and cot death are real awful tragedies but you can’t make a story out of something so terrible sometimes

This was the first time Ronnie tried giving Tommy back but because she didn't explain properly they didn't realise what she was actually doing
