The Vette grill is looking sharp!
All us guys opening up our grilles should all meet together at an NNL East or some such model kit show and see if we can dominate the tables for 2024.

Thanks Trevor. Dominate as in world domination? Muwha ha ha ha!
NNL East is pretty far north for me to show up. I'm in central FL and the farthest north I've gone so far for a model show is Atlanta, GA for ACME.

@@skip-o-maticsmodelmania5774 ...or maybe domination, like in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. - but seriously, I'm in Alberta, Canada, so I guess NNL would be a far drive too. IDK, but i think an open grill would take a few ribbons home compared to an unopened grille.

Great work!! Similar technique that I have chosen to go with. The Impala grille has been tough but I’m still working at it.

Thank you Kyle. Just take your time and be gentle with it and you will be victorious.

@@skip-o-maticsmodelmania5774 I’m trying to I broke a piece off the first day but I’ve had better luck since then. Probably going to have 4 or more hours in it by the time it’s done.

The grill turned out awesome Skip, I don't know if I have enough patience to successfully do one of those.

Skips corvette grille is a hard one to do. I've put a few,on my channel that vary in difficulty. Try on a simpler one, like a pick up truck first. But mostly the best thing to do is try and be careful

Thanks Mike. Definitely takes some patience, but it would be worth it on certain builds.

Do you strip and rechrome your chrome parts? Subscriber and really enjoy your vids. Maybe you can do a demonstration video some time.

I sometimes strip chrome parts and if I re-chrome I use Molotow or Krylon original Chrome paint. I use the purple degreaser, aka the purple pond, to strip the chrome from the parts. If you don't mind the fumes you can use oven cleaner as well.
