- Joel Waggoner is featured in this up-tempo Swing/Broadway opening number inspired arrangement of "Can You Feel the Sunshine?" from Sonic R. for the Sega Saturn (1997). Originally a more electronic music/house inspired track, the lyrics and chord changes to me always felt like they would be right at home in a Judy Garland/Frank Sinatra inspired setting as the opening for some kind of mid-century variety show. @@LavaCreeperPeopleyeah pretty much every sonic game up until adventure had a PC release a year or two after it's console release. The PC version of Sonic R had much better draw distance and visuals vs the Saturn version

My favorite part is the insane strings run in the second verse. Joel's singing is top-notch, too. And I adore the animations for this one, with all the subtle details and fun interactions with the studio background!

I was just telling my kid about this game! Easily the slowest Sonic the way I handled the controller, but this sound track is ace!

this is my favorite song from the album, and maybe even of all 8-bit big band songs. its just fantastic, from the vocal masterpiece, to the banging sax solo all the way down to the bass line. I love this song!!
Can I recommend l'eminenza oscura from Kingdom hearts dream drop distance? The kh3 version is closer to a string orchestra. A Kingdom hearts song would be cool in general thanks for reading

Only very minor gripe is that this arrangement feels like Mario music, which is characterized by "old time" bands, whereas Sonic has always been more rock/techno/dance music focused.
