    Absolutely love this pattern! Some advice for others making this pattern:
    If you start with a foundationless single crochet instead of chaining and then sc across, you'll have your working yarn on the same side as the tail at the end which makes it harder to make the ties. I fixed it by slip stitching down the side and then across the bottom of the piece to get my working yarn to the correct side. ❤

    I was looking for something exactly like this!! When I was looking a few months ago everything out there was more complicated, I'm excited to give this one a try and see if I can make lots in different colors!

    Love these! I have never learned to be able to make that initial chain loose enough. I have found using a hook 1 or 2 sizes bigger works for me. The finished project always looks great!

    Congratulations on moving into the tiny stuff! Great job! Beautiful pattern! Next step is making a tablecloth. 😉
    I've found that using an extra task light helps when working with dark threads/ yarns. I even have a head lamp for when I'm really serious. 😆

      @LittlejohnsYarn  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      🤣🤣 you know me so well! I never do tiny stuff. This made me laugh so hard. I don't know if I'll be making a tablecloth, but thinner thread makes everything more beautiful. A head lamp is a great idea!

    • @titian-red
      @titian-red 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @LittlejohnsYarn A tablecloth can be done with granny squares made in thread, so you can make it as large or as small as you want without committing to a certain size when you start. If you can make several chokers, you can certainly make a tablecloth!
      While I haven't made a tablecloth yet, I've repaired my husband's great-grandmother's and made a baby blanket in size 20 thread. I don't suggest the blanket. 😆

      @@titian-red you are so encouraging ❤️❤️ thank you. What an incredible family heirloom. Your husband is fortunate that his talented wife knows crochet & repair!

    Hi Alysha, I absolutely love these!
    I was so happy I was able to pop into your live the other day. I was loving the conversations that were going on and your energy is so lovely. I donated a superchat and was able to get a often from your wheel of patterns. I just wanted to make sure you got my email regarding the pattern. My email name is not the same as my TH-cam name, so I was wondering if you maybe had thought it was junk. I actually shared a photo of a finished object during the live, but it didn’t look like you had seen that one either, but I’ve checked multiple times and I have your email correct. Thank you so much, so Sorry to bother you!
    🥰🥰🥰

    I only have no 4 weight cotton yarn, will that work? Or do I need the thin crochet yarn?

  • @rebeccafritzinger9457

    I want to make this right now but ... 3 25 is the only crochet hook I don't have. Well and a 7. So I guess I have to wait to make it now.

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can go up a crochet hook size to 3.5. it will be slightly bigger. The size of the choker minus the straps is 11 in. I'm guessing it'll add a quarter inch to a half inch

      @@LittlejohnsYarn I was thinking that but since I only started crocheting when the big bad 19 hit and I quit smoking I needed a hand occupier lol. I wasnt totally sure. I also still crochet very tight a lot of the times so for me it may work out. I didnt get the knack yet to always loosen up. Thank you for a quick reply. I also saw the beaded choker too and got excited because I DO have a 3.5 and I want to make 1 out of every color I can find. Thank you again.
