The scottish halloween thing where you have to do something at the door.....is very similar to 2 days in estonia where we have to dress up....2 different days, one you have to wear white stuff and one is where you wear some weird stuff that doesn't even match whatsoever, both those days have traditional things you have to sing during knocking, sing/dance during opening the door and then throwing some seeds in their home whilst performing. Quite fun when you are young :D It's like halloween!!! But twice a year ;)
Let's be honest, with men like David Tennant out there, with the accents and the manners and the looks, what chance do American men have? It's sadly unfair for them. There is a reason much of Hollywood has been taken over by actors from the UK.

I'm American and tried Haggis once at a Scottish event at an Episcopalian church and was surprised to find that I really like it! It's tasty! Not too different from sausage in flavor.
Sir David Tennant it shouldn't be that much hard work for a bag of candy seriously trick-or-treat that's the word they use trick or treat smell my feet give me something good to eat it's like a poem in itself and then you get candy there's no guessing no math no hard work you just not going to do once you three four then they open up the door and they drop some candy into your bucket no no regeneration mean it 4 * 4 three times or how many times so I can drop the bag and Indian but the one thing I don't like is when people throw eggs that's just disgusting
