  • This lecture is EXCLUSIVELY based on Jacques Derrida's Essay STRUCTURE, SIGN AND PLAY IN THE DISCOURSE OF THE HUMAN SCIENCES .
Of course, it is taken for granted that the reader of this chapter is well-acquainted with the term 'structuralism' , yet I have tried to explain it in the first 5 minutes of the lecture This clarity of the concept of Structuralism leads to a better understanding of this essay.
Although, a separate video on STRUCTURALISM, POST- STRUCTURALISM , DECONSTRUCTION shall be produced in coming days.
This lecture "exclusively" deals with the essay " The Structure, Sign, and Play in the Discourse of the Human Sciences (French: La structure, le signe et le jeu dans le discours des sciences humaines) ,a lecture presented at Johns Hopkins University on 21 October 1966 by philosopher Jacques Derrida. The lecture was then published in 1967 as chapter ten of "Writing and Difference " and now a part of our university syllabus as it lays foundation of The Post- Structuralism.
Note : Interested students may ask me for the pdf . For that, they are expected to leave their email ids in the comment box.
