I work as a deputy sheriff and we have a couple small towns in my county that don't have a town cop. One night I responded to call of a drunk man trying to break into his ex-girlfriends house. Long story short, I ended up getting in a fight with the suspect on the side of the road at 1 a.m. and the suspect tried to take my gun. A lifted truck just happened to be driving by when they suddenly stopped and three guys got out and pinned the suspect down while I cuffed him. Then, they just hopped in their truck and left. No one needed to document the incident on camera. They didn't have to think about what was the right thing to do. They saw a need and met it. Love my community.
And then everyone clapped

I was raised in a town of 1300 hundred people. Indigenous, Blacks and Asian decent were all welcomed back then. Everyone lived harmoniously. Being a Canadian small town girl I can remember being 5 or 6 asking my Grandpa why we were helping another family with their farm chores, his response was “That’s what we do in a small town, we help take care of each other always no matter what” It wasn’t till I was an adult that realized Mr Gallagher had fallen off the roof & broken both legs that season so the entire community pitched in with helping It’s what so very lacking in our society today.

I've come to see this guy that was murdered was a staple of our community..someone who loved with his whole heart and gave as much as he can to help others and this guy had a family, a wife and babies. After his death the small town came together and threw fundraisers and vigils.❤

I live in a small town, but before I moved here I spent 13 years in a big city, and I hated every day of it.
Gunshots right down my street, people pounding on my garage door in the middle of the night, a police chase right past my front door, 5 stolen cars parked outside our house in 4 years, you think of it and there's probably at least one example I can remember just in my neighborhood.
None of that has ever happened, nor has anything even remotely close to it happened, in the small town.
The arguments are few and far between, everybody gets along, we don't have any extremist opinions that tear communities apart, and it's overall a far better place to live in every way possible.
I'll never go back to the city, and you know what? I'm glad about that. Folks, say what you want about small towns, but just know that for every bad one, there's at least 3 good ones to balance it out.
City folk have more fun. Your loss.

Thank you, I'm stuck here in a small town in the United States where we do the very same thing and the past 4 years has been a living hell for all of us as we gather to support each other's farming needs, family needs, even the rare occasional financial need provided to get through a difficult time. We are all family here and we live it daily as everyone knows everyone. We've been labeled everything bad you can think of because were born with white skin outside of our choice, while also having a number of neighboring families born with darker skin, yet not one single politician has set foot here but Donald Trump back in 2018 to extend his support for what it is we all do within this county. We are a supporting, farming county that honestly can fend for ourselves, but only Donald came here and extended his gratitude for what it is we do each and every day to then provide us with the best trade deals in our lives. We miss him here. I'm 60 years old, a white man that has served his country and never once was anything the democratic politicians have been labelling me my entire life, nor have any of my farming neighbors. Just because we are a 90% white population are "labelled" and that is Democratic Race Bating that has ALWAYS pissed us all off, yet politicians refuse to see it, or acknowledge what they have been doing here since the mid-1980's. Donald Trump came here and praised us ALL for the hard work we provide our Great Country and he delivered with good prices in return for our hard work.
