I love the fact that a mixed-race person (I'm in the UK, that's what we say) in a mixed-race marriage is running for the highest office in, let's face it, the most powerful country in the world. Obviously her policies, qualifications, experience and skills are what matters here, but I think her personal background gives her the chance to connect with so many people, see things from multiple points of view, and that is invaluable.

I love the fact that a mixed-race person (I'm in the UK, that's what we say) in a mixed-race marriage is running for the highest office in, let's face it, the most powerful country in the world. Obviously her policies, qualifications, experience and skills are what matters here, but I think her personal background gives her the chance to connect with so many people, see things from multiple points of view, and that is invaluable.

I'm confused about 45 saying any of this intentionally. I was just gobsmacked that he would respond to the first interviewer as he did. Especially on her turf, among black journalists.
