Right. Krystal didn't need her mom to speak for her when she was in bed with these men, but needs her mom to speak for her when it comes to dealing with consequences of her bedroom behavior. That's proof positive that she's not mature enough to be entrusted with another human life.

I am pretty sure she has high functioning autism. She is not used to having many friendships and so was easily manipulated by those men and sadly her mom too.

Agreed. They may not have been “perfect” (neither is the daughter) but at least they were willing to say they would step up and take responsibility and said they cared for her. Its not their fault that the women can know 100% that the women is the mom and men cant know if they are the dad. The problem with the first case is that Crystal’s mom likes to keep talking about “her baby doesn’t have food, juice etc, he isn’t taking care of her blah blah”. No ma’am. Your daughter needs to grow up and take care of her own baby and her own life and you need to get out of it.

I think my problem is the mother didn’t raise her daughter to be independent and she expects men to take care of her daughter and their child and the daughter who can’t even feed herself or her baby, doesn’t need a baby.
As a daughter of an overlording controlling mother, I know that stance. The guys might have been bossy but that girls suffering more than just paternity issues. I feel bad for her.

In the first case it sure does look like that daughter the mother of the child is scared of her mother... You can tell it by the way she's hunched over things like that she's used to being abused by her mother It's really sad
Even the baby's father said he wasn't around because of "her" and I believe he was talking about the grandmother
The hunching over isn't a fear response. It appears to be something like scoliosis or possibly a fused cervical spine. It's too uniform to be the fear/discomfort response, whether she's slightly leaning forward when speaking or stretching herself up.
That said, there are definitely other non-verbal cues that show she's not comfortable with her mother. She's body blocking a lot by slightly angling away from her mom, and almost always keeping her left arm firmly down creating a barrier.
I think she’s just hunched.

The daughter in the first case seems to be either nervous, scared, or delayed. She can barely get a word in edgewise because her mother has so much to say. It’s almost as if her mother never allowed her to speak for herself. It’s sad.

She's probably used to her mum always talking for her that she just lets her do all the talking. Even I was getting annoyed, I wanted the mum to just sit down and let the daughter talk for herself.
The first case this women have no confidence. She’s like a scared child around these men. She honestly shouldn’t be in a relationship with anyone until she works on herself.

Krystals mother is the issue. I know its been said in the comments. But a handful of times Krystal said something, got like a word out, her mother spoke over her. Then Krytsal seemed to change what she was going to say. She also repeated shrunk herself down whenever her mother spoke. Both guys independently said the same things. They tried to see the baby but her mother kept stopping them. Her response each time was basically "i stopped you because you dont see them"
And every time she does get the chance to speak she basically is subtly saying "my mom is making them sound worse than they are, she needs to shut up"

As a daughter of a controlling mother I understand her struggles. She doesn't even have a say in her life because her mother. Her mother wants to be part of everything. The only thing she can do is run away and remove contact with her mother. That way she can actually live
This episode further confirms, be careful with what you share with your best friend.
The defendant is definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer but the plaintiff seems to be a little loosey goosey liar. The mom is horrible . . .she admitted to being vengeful, she has no problem with lying, when she’s mad she thinks it OK to lie and cheat on anyone and she’s a horrible friend to almost everyone. The good news is Judge Lake is not fooled for one minute.
Why does the judge not tell the mother to shut up, sit down and let her daughter talk. Mom had a real chip on her shoulder about something,not just the baby’s father.

Case 1: The plaintiff's mom is insufferable. She has so much blame to place on the men and none to place on her grown daughter who allowed two men between her legs at the same time. I just can't with the one-sided accountability. In the mom's mind, everybody ELSE is the problem, and her precious daughter lacks agency. I'm glad the judge added that piece to the puzzle, or the daughter will develop no sense of responsibility bc she has a mother who coddles her and blames everyone else for problems her daughter helped create.
2nd Case: She had a good man and STILL cheated on him. This is why some men become cold and callused! 😮

Regarding the first case:
I have two grown children and I will always have their backs and support them. But I also taught them to protect themselves, because it's not my job to fight their battles. I think Mrs. Lindsay Senior treats her daughter the same way she does the two men. The poor girl can't even stand up to her own mother, so how can she stand up to other people. I don't know if the young woman might have problems with her back, but she can't even lift her head properly while standing next to her mother, and that's not meant in a bad way. I just noticed it and I feel sorry for her.The very fact that the grandmother stands between her daughter and the baby's possible father makes me suspect that she doesn't trust your daughter with anything. Probably the grandmother is also the one who makes all the decisions for the baby. I also think that the grandmother is jealous, but not of her daughter's relationships, but of the men, because she can't seem to let go of her daughter.

At the end of the first case Judge Lake said Miss Lindsay needs to grow a backbone and create boundaries, she wasn’t wrong. She needs to stand up to her mother and create boundaries with her. Because that is one overbearing and controlling mother who doesn’t have any boundaries. Complete basket case.
