Most NCAA D1 players D3 too, just came from a junior league where chuckin at center ice wasn’t a big deal. Most of these guys are prob in there mid to low 20’s and are pretty hot headed. I was just sayin in my previous comments I miss the days of the Wisconsin vs NoDak at the DCC in Madtown..

They've actually been pretty good. They made post season as an independent in 2019 and it remains to be seen this year since they have the 5th best record overall. They're joining the NCHC in 2025 I think it was.

There's this very small part of me that doesn't understand why the refs don't just let the teams have at it and let law enforcement pursue charges. It's been done before. If the respective leagues, college AND pro, would hand things over to law enforcement, I guarantee you this crap would stop, because depending on the severity of injuries sustained in A free for all, charges could be pretty severe and sentences could be lengthy. The reason leagues DON'T do this is because they'd lose viewers, and they know it. If they treated these fights like actual crimes, hockey would cease to exist. We perpetuate this stuff by looking for it here on YT, and leagues know this, too. These fights are entertainment, and that will never change, so maybe dial down the fake outrage and cynicism and admit you like this stuff and would watch it any chance you get. Or are you to worried that society would see you as "troubled", or "disturbed" and turn on you? 🤷♂️
5v3? No brainer to clear the benches for ASU. And you know the coach was begging them not to jump so he wouldn’t be suspended, meanwhile his guys are out numbered in the corner because the ref doesn’t know its his job to keep the numbers even that close to the end of the game.
The box “officials” in college hockey tend to be just people employed by the home school, not actual officials. Plus, in a clip of the ASU player leaving the box that was posted to Instagram, the box attendant on that side was a woman about half the size of the player. What exactly do you expect her to do in that scenario? Tackle a grown man who has clearly lost his mind with aggression?

Think ASU should have filed a ptotest. Refs should have sent them off (both teams) for 15 minutes and then come back and play the last 11 seconds. While there's a less than .05 percent chance, to do so, ASU could have scored 2 goals to tie it.

These kids need to learn how to fight. In the 90s, you were taught in hockey school how to protect yourself. Now fighting is out of the Q and when these kids get to the Show they will be in trouble. This thing of taking fighting out of the game is just more woke stuff. I hate it. I played NCAA and was Captain. I avoided as much as possible fighting to avoid the Disqualification, but I am 6'3" 205lbs (28 years ago LOL) now I am pushing 260, but I knew what I was doing. I have a face full of scars from the battles.
