I can't remember if I've tweaked anything since last played. 😅 I pulled out bloodhound step and replaced it with hoarfrost stomp instead as some people didn't like the bloodhound step version of this build! I really hope they'll take the opportunity to include higher stamina costs for rolling in their "PvP exclusive changes" at some point. Absolutely wild that the only game in the series with good 1v1 PvP is still Dark Souls 2.
I understand what you're saying and all previous games make you more aware of using your stamina as it could be the difference between winning and losing this game is a lot more lenient so I appreciate what you are saying ❤️
@@Brorrowind That's a hell of a hot take. DS2 has easily the most varied and balanced PvP in the series. I guess it's objectively kind of a shitshow because ALL Dark Souls PvP is kind of a shitshow, but it doesn't have most of the glitches involved in DS1 PvP and it doesn't have people who can roll 13 times in a row before running out of stamina like DS3 and Elden Ring.
@@Rynjinivar DS2 PVP and balanced in the same sentence is the funniest shit i've ever read. I don't think you actually played the game when it was new and saw how many fucking times they changed shit and it still turned out as a mess. Faith got nerfed into the fucking ground, hexes were retardedly strong, Havelyn memers, straight swords were straight up better than most other weapon classes due to the fact that they weren't slow as SHIT. The general pace of combat in the game is slow as molasses too, compared to even the previous games, i frames being tied to a stat you have to level, meaning you have to invest precious levels into having enough s so you don't get fucked by garbage hitboxes. Let's also not forget Soul Memory completely fucking with matchmaking. Oh and having to fucking farm 5k souls to buy 1 (one) cracked red eye orb, that's on LIMITED SUPPLY just to be able to invade people is ridiculous. Add onto that, that invasions are super skewed into the hosts favor thanks to the game preferring to invade people with phantoms, giant tree seeds and the blue covenant just makes invading pointless. Dark Souls 1 in comparison had the best PVP in the series, it wasn't a complete rollfest like 3 and ER because you could actually punish panic rolls with backstabs, there were mechanics like dead angling, toggling, etc. Yeah lagstabbing could feel like horseshit, but once you understood how it worked, it was barely a problem. Bloodborne PVP could have been good if parrying wasn't so piss easy. Basically Dark Souls 2 Online Play fucking sucks and appeals only to people that got into the series with the game.
@@Brorrowind My man you're drinking some serious nostalgia juice if you think Dark Souls 1 PvP was actually good. Yes, DS2's PvP was relatively slow...that's the upside. When both players move a bit slower and have to fight more methodically, paradoxically the matches end quicker. And without being able to abuse backstabbing mechanics like DS1, you actually had to focus on being able to hit your opponent and bait them into making a mistake. Your only real point is Soul Memory, the single indefensible mechanic of the game. Everything else is fine, especially since Red Eye Orbs are only one of like 5 different ways you can enter PvP. Invasions are the lowest form of PvP in every game. They're inherently unbalanced because usually you're invading some schmuck with an unoptimized build while you're an optimized PvPer (and possibly a twink).
