I am a 33 woman and this is my purfum 😅 I actually never thought it could be a male purfum. I thought it was súper feminin. Other than that you are right. The opening is strong but give it few minutes and you will forget how it smell at the bigining. It smells like someone who has a very calm no stress personality and a clean apartement with nice large cozy leather sofa. Someone who’s favorite color is creamy white

Having around 100 frags this is among my favorite drydowns. Oud heavy opening (and I love the open also) but quickly dries down to a smooth blend without any one note being distinct. A somewhat dated but classy feel, for the mature persona. Gives me visual of someone sitting in a bookstore reading or someone appraising antiques in a shop.

I got an unbelievable deal on a new bottle of this for 60 bucks. I can't wait. I already have the sample and as soon as I smelled it, I knew this was the dark rich oud I was looking for. Wish the oud lasted longer, but I just love that first hour scent so much.

Sounds like an awesome deal, congrats! $60 is bananas considering the performance and depth of this one
You'd love Gao by Xerjoff and Oud Imperial by Perris Monte Carlo

I'm really enjoying your reviews! I haven't tried any Montale frags except for a sample of intense cafe I received. Think I need a discovery set maybe to get a feel of their style. I did however just get the Royal Night in after watching your review and I must say I love it and I have never tried Ombre Nomade. Like you said this is a dressed up scent and is a power house to me, definitely too hot in Australia to wear it at the moment though so Im looking forward to winter to give it some proper use!

      Thank you so much!
I think you should definitely try a sample kit from Montale. They have a huge selection to choose from and there is something for everyone.

I "musk" agree. There are those of us who have one suit for special occasions. Then theres that guy who rocks a different suit everyday of the week. Gravitas!

@@AbrreathoffreshairOne year later and I'm commenting to say that yes, absolutely smells like a less spicy Gao and without that touch of amber. Gao has become one of my favourites.
You must try Oud Imperiale from Perris Monte Carlo

During it’s lifetime, what would you u say was the most prominent/long lived note?

    • @realscentreview
      @realscentreview  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Impossible to give just one.
The whole thing is based around a bitter, aromatic woodiness that comes from [medicinal] oud, vetiver and a creamy sandalwood.
But I'd say it's bitter as opposed to creamy/sweet

@@realscentreview So I bought this and was afraid it would be unwearable but damn it smells rich, although I’d like more sandalwood concentration to it. Nothing screechy about it from start to finish, deep woods, pure class, I did layer with TDH edt and my coworkers were asking questions lol, great performance too.

@@drilonxhema0 So cool that you like it! Yeah, it's one of my favourite wood-based fragrances, although I do find it quite screechy in the opening. It'd benefit from some more sandalwood, or maybe some labdanum to give it a creaminess.
If you like this, you'll love Perris Monte Carlo Oud Imperiale EDP.

Aoud Lime is, to me at least, a different offering from the house, and it certainly one not for everyone.

Great scent, though the name is misleading. I find it similar to a lot of other oud/saffron/rose fragrances honestly.
