Thank you. Your videos are always so helpful. I have been "PIMO" for about 8-9 months, although I have not returned to in-person meetings and I have not participated in service because, I cannot in good conscience direct anyone to the organization now. I thought I would try to fade because my family is still under the delusion. You made some very good points about being PIMO. Even though I don't pretend to support the organization, my gut tells me this plan of invisibility is not healthy or sustainable. I am subtly dropping crumbs for my family, but you helped me see I need to set an actual goal. I need courage to stand up for the truth, to expose the corruption, to be willing to be an outcast, ruin my reputation, lose the respect of everyone I know. I have lived under spell and a web of lies my entire life and I am grateful to have snapped out of it. I want to share the freedom with others.

I am an outcast.a few jw's would send me letters but no calls, during the lock down it was like they were writing to someone they never knew then when I wrote them back they didn't respond and there are other strange things. For the last two years I've been praying to Jehovah and his son for true worshippers although I count on Jehovah God and his son Jesus .then I come across one of your videos then I started watching more.it's great attending the Sunday zoom meetings and listening to all of your comments I especially loved the prayer breakout room. So give me a little time to get use to all I'm nervous around new people .

I started speaking out , recently I had a message from one if the elders to say he had concerns , when I responded and asked him what his concerns were he refused to tell me and made me wait one week to give me a zoom call with another elder ,
when they questioned me to ask about what I had been saying , I asked them what was being said and who said those things , they refused to tell me , so I told them I would refuse to answer their questions and told them that I felt it was unloving t o make me wait a week to talk to me and be straight with me .... to be continued , I'm almost certain . thank you Eric, may Jehovah bless your work in teaching about him with the Bible and truth 🙏🏼

I appreciated this video...the comments on living a double life spoke to me and where I had been. I was pretending to attend meetings ( zoom ) and I even turned in time ( time I spent telling others the JW were a false religion ) I was going to just try to fade out...if I could have moved somewhere, that would have been easy enough, but my best friend here was a pioneer and was always concerned about other sisters getting in service and to meetings...I didn't want to be false to her--and make a pretense when her Bible Study wasn't responding in a way she should hope. I had made up my mind I couldn't just fade out because I would be checked on and I wasn't going to be making up stories....so I told her that I no longer believed the witnesses had the truth and if she felt the need to report that, to let me know and I would take care of it. She said, it would be my decision...but I had already decided before I told her for I knew she wouldn't be able to keep quiet. I wanted to tell her because I didn't want to write out my notice to the elders and have her hear it from the platform...and it allowed me to explain things to her and hopefully someday she will wake up! I wrote to the elders asking them not to call me, but they did anyway...I was curious as to what they might say, so I talked with them...no Scriptures were read...a retired CO was among the 3...He literally lied on at least 2 ocassions. One was telling me I had information that had been falsified by apostates...that he had read the correct information..so I said to him to inform me where the correct information was and I would look it up ( the 1954 Walsh trial -which still applies today)He said: no, you are the one who brought it up. NOw wouldn't you think that if someone really cared and knew you had misinformation, they would be happy to tell you? I had been in judicial meetings before where the elders were the manipulators and the liars...I told a CO about that and his ears turned red! ( I want to say, it is worse for a woman---THERE IS A BOYS CLUB

It's because they have been programmed. They're taught how to react, shut down when anything negative is said about organization.

    • @lulubellers
      @lulubellers 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

It's impossible until the JW individual decides they've had enough... And starts to look ... at facts... I should also add, I have found that most witnesses I've talked to disagree with something the governing body has taught or done... that leaves the ex-witness with a effective question; if it's Jah's organisation how can you disagree? "Oh, it just imperfect men..." they will say. Try to nicely explain to them that they are going against Jah and could be PUNISHED if they speak out. They will divert by changing the subject, and even act exasperated, but reel them back in and ask; why would You submit YOURSELF to possible Punishment from imperfect men?

Yes, it’s not easy for me. I helped my husband wake up but I wasn’t direct explained my thoughts because if I did I knew he would shutdown and question me instead of looking at himself WT thoughts. So what I did was use his same negative comments like the use of beard, birthdays… when I saw he was low I asked him to explain to me the 1914 JW theory. Asked him questions and subliminally took him to compare with history but it wasn’t a 1 day or 1 hr conversation. It took months before he woke up. So I am doing the same with my sister- see if the strategy works.

They just looked at the ground and became quiet. So, i dropped the subject. I`m sure that If I had continued to press the subject, they would have left. This is a powerful video! I agree with a lot of the points you make. In some cases timing is just as important as doing the right thing. Leaving the org is like leaving a controlling abusive relationship. Announcing to your abuser that you are leaving is the most dangerous thing you can do. An escape plan is critical in order to reduce the amount of damaged sustained and have the best chance at success. Some need time to plan and have to fake it for a bit in order to protect themselves and sometimes their family. These ones should not feel guilty or be judged. Some of us have already suffered so much abuse of authority that putting our necks on a chopping block before we are ready is not emotional healthy. That being said, remaining in an abusive relationship is condoning that abuse.

Sporadically I’d reconnect with the religion but grew to understand that the organization had changed beyond recognition. When I left what I’d thought was “the truth” my entire faith was shaken. Be well, my friend. Tens of thousands of us are in this boat. We will be okay.

I believe that having a frontal truth conversation with a PIMI JW will cause them to shutdown - since the WT has done a very good job making JWs plug their fingers into their ears if they hear opposing information from their truth!
I believe in throwing seeds - it worked for me with my husband. When my daughter woke up was the same time I did and everytime she would visit us, she would be frontal with him and as soon as she left he would say that she was becoming worldly and an apostate! I told her to please not to do that- al the progress I had done to wake him up with little baby steps went down. But certainly enough, he woke up a year late I woke up in 2020!!

Thanks as always for your well presented scriptural message. To qualify my comment I have formally disassociated from the watchtower. With that said I must say the message presented here sounds like the same message we gave Bible studies when we as JW’s were engaged in trying to get our studies to leave their religion to become JWS! Those who bought into that lost their whole community! Now the same message with even more severe consequences! I understand your concern and you are certainly correct in saying if we don’t leave we are knuckling under the power of the watchtower leadership, however each must count the cost before acting. I hope this video doesn’t cause some one who hasn’t counted the cost to allow some perhaps faults zeal to cause them to take a step they aren’t ready to do.

A positive heart generates a good attitude no matter the conditions
Here are some ( "view point" ) verses to help with keeping positive from the heart
      John 9:4,5;
We must do the works of the One who sent me while it is day; the night is coming when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the world’s light.”
      John 9:39-41
Jesus then said: “For this judgment I came into this world, that those not seeing might see and those seeing might become blind.”
Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and they said to him: “We are not blind also, are we?”
Jesus said to them: “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, ‘We see.’ Your sin remains.”

If a person is not attending meetings, not a part of the congregation or in any way supporting the JW religion, wouldn't that be enough? Or do I need to take the step and inform the elders and family members (JWs) that I have left the religion? I really don't look forward to being on the elders radar again.

      First ask yourself:
Who is Jesus to me personally?
If my FAITH in God's word leads me to believe Jesus is alive, 🍒how can I have a real relationship with him.
Second: Jesus told us himself - I and the Father are one
Understanding this statement and truly believing in their unity is key to our relationship with them.
As we been taught the jw way, interaction with Jesus on a personal level wasn't encouraged - so we never thought of a personal relationship with him to be important/valued compared to a relationship with Jehovah.
When you're proper relationship with them develops and strengthens, the holy spirit teaches you how to walk & talk in God's ways
From that point it's time to decide fore yourself if there is a need for that conversation.
ps. I only had that heart to heart with family & very close friends - who now soft shun me

Not on topic, but I had a conversation with my mom today who is a jw.
I was trying to share a Christian video with her that cited scripture. She accused me of listening to apostates. I told her that the individual in the video was comparing how the world wanted us to trust our instincts, but the Bible, specifically Proverbs 3:5, says to lean not on our own understanding, but to trust in God. She protested that Satan was leading me away from God.
    I couldn’t believe this!
I asked her, “mom, Satan is leading me away from God by having me dive into scripture?”
She replied, “yes, he is giving you misinformation.”
I replied, “mom, doesn’t Satan want you to not read the Bible? Does he not want to convince us that God doesn’t even exist?”
She replied, “they are all apostates because they are not sharing the truth.”
I replied, “mom, is the Bible not truth?”
She replied, “no because it’s not coming from Jehovah or the governing body.”
I replied, “so you have to be a jw to share the Bible?” She at that moment got very defensive and said, “the Bible is the teacher. Just read the Bible.”
Clearly she didn’t want to admit that the jws have the secret pass to her, but all conversations that I have with her imply that if your not a jw, you are not speaking the truth and you are false religion, an apostate.
I keep hoping one day she’ll snap out of that cult. I don’t think I have the strength to pull her out of it. But I’ll keep praying she wakes up.

    Isaiah 61
    Jesus was anointed to
'Declare good news to the meek'
    'To bind up the brokenhearted'
'To proclaim liberty to the captives'
'Wide opening of the eyes to the prisoners'
Meekness is the quality of Humility and Love.
Humble people are ones who view creation through the eyes of God's Word and treat others in Principle.
They refuse to let human wisdom trump God's Word.
This is a stand for Jehovah's Universal Sovereignty.
Such ones who choose God's Word over men are often ripped apart [Brokenhearted] from those whom they love and life as they know it.
Using the Holy Spirit, Jesus spiritually wakes them up [wide opened eyes] and shows them they have been [captive] to corrupt systems.
With a sound mind they begin to see things for how they Truly are not as they Prefer them to be. Courageously they follow the Christ as he leads them
    out of captivity, [proclaim liberty]

In later years I had my parents and Aunt over every weekend and sometiimes twice a week. . for years. Then my dad died and I had my mom and aunt over. Our conversations were usually fairly benign, but from time to time I'd mention something I'd seen in the magazines that was contrary to what the bible said. My mom seem to give those things a lot of thought, but my Aunt decided not to come to my home anymore and wouldn't bring my mom.
I've written my aunt letters (not my mom for she has demctia ). I've written my youngest brother twice. He didn't answer, but my Aunt of course didn't answer my bible questions using the bible. she pretty much pointed to the orgnization. I have no contact with any of my witness family. Last year my 2nd brother died and witnesses I hadn't seen since I was a kid reached out to me. . . i asked them some bible questions, but either got no answer or got an 'believe the organization' answer.
Even my granddaughter has stopped talking with me. She isn't a Witness but claims to really follow the bible. We had an . .I guess argument . . . about something she'd done. She kept giving me the reasons why she did it. But never admiting she was wrong. I gave her scriptures related to what she'd done. She ended up telling me she didn't want to talk to me anymore. I have a fairly big family. . . most are witnesses. I do have one niece that isn't a witness, but she's busy with her life. She isn't a bible believer. So I really don't have a family.
I never was really one to have 'wordly friends', so. . I have no friends either. I am friendly with my neighbors, but that's about it. I do have one bible believing son and he and I talk almost every day. My other son hates god, Jesus and the bible. . .so. . . I find it really so hard to believe a a person who claims to believe the bible choose what a man would tell them over what the bible says. . over Jesus' words. Colson argued, where he had also hosted Christ and the Apostles for the Last Supper).
If at one point he did wear the golden headband, he could have been in a similar situation for some time to Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathaea - both of whom are saints, both of whom are considered as having come out of hiding in time.

I agree. I've thought about this repeatedly, and I keep coming to that same conclusion. When I contact a former friend who is a "fully in" JW, that will be my one opportunity to pour out my heart, telling my friend that Watchtower is a huge mistake. Almost at the speed of light, I can have a knock on my door with two elders standing there. So, I'm weighing my choices, deciding to whom to reveal myself. I did tell my "3rd cousin, once removed", but he hadn't attended meetings for years anyway,...maybe a decade. One dear friend lives in a different country from me, and I don't have her contact information. She was a genuine friend, and I'd like for her to be the one I use my "one chance" to warn.

Off topic but is there a legitimate connection between New World Translation and Johannes Greber. I’ve seen it said but was wondering if it was factual.

    • @ProselyteofYah
      @ProselyteofYah ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Paul. I'm someone quite familiar with several Bible translation works, and have read and studied a bit of Hebrew and Greek.
A better question to ask is; "is the NWT corrupted? And if so, how is the NWT corrupted? ".
Some people have claimed the NWT has connections to Johannes Greber, claimed to be a spiritist, and there appears to be evidence of this. However, the question lies, not in the man who was claimed to translate the texts, but if there is any credibility in the translations themselves.
A lot of people try to use the "Johannes Greber" argument to discredit the NWT renditions, such as John 1:1 (a god). However, the false dichotomy made is that is assumes the NWT and Johannes Greber are "unique" in this regard, when they are not. In addition, from what I have studied personally, the NWT's translation of John 1:1 is in fact very accurate according to the Greek Grammar, and is found in many, many Bible translations (including ancient manuscripts).
So, in the end, the concern of Johannes Greber's influence upon the NWT, really is a non-issue, even 'if' the man was involved in spiritism. What we should examine is the credibility of the translation of itself in comparison with the original source texts we have.
However, that being said, I do not hold the NWT as a trustworthy translation in other respects, and have seen various corruptions (some words have been altered, others removed, some added, to support the FDS and 1914 doctrines) , but John 1:1 (the issue where Johannes Greber is often brought up) is not one of them.

Why did he that? Hé explained: for a Jewish one a became a Jew , If it brought to save a Jew.. Thus confessing Jesus before men, isn’t neccesary not taking account of the sentiment of others.. Love take in account the sentiment of your JW family.. like apostle Paul did with the Jews… This sounds more a speech from an pastor from the Advent church of the Sevent Day, the Bible Students or Jehovah Witnesses that urges their members to leave the Catholic church…that in their eyes are the false religion

I came to that conclusion too when we started learning Hebrew.
The cross shape is also in the older forms of the Hebrew language for the (last) letter Taw/Tav. In ancient Pictograph Hebrew it looks like a cross and even in Paleo Hebrew it has a cross shape like an 'x'.
And the *word* Taw in Hebrew literally means 'mark' or 'sign'. (Ezekiel 9:4 interlinear, the word translated 'mark'.)
And my husband made a great point. In the garden of Eden, they were blocked from entering by a flaming spinning sword...and if you turn a sword upside down, what shape is it?

I have and will continue to listen to your videos. But I have come to notice that in several of them you come across a very dogmatic and arrogant. While listening to this video I thought of Peter who denied knowing Jesus 3 times because of his fear of men. And how Jesus lovingly called him on it. To pull up and use scriptures threatening people who are PIMO with burning in the lake of fire is just another way of trying to infuse them with doubt about their own decision making process. It's just another way of trying to infuse fear into their very being. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences and our spiritual growth is at different stages. Knowing that many who have been shunned have committed suicide. I would caution you to tone down your judgements for fear that some poor soul will take it to heart, leave the organization and succumb to any suicidal ideology they may already be fighting. Leave it to the Holy Spirit to gently guide and direct those who are seeking Christ.

Elaine, I understand your concern. As I said in the video, I am not making rules. Jesus is the one who made the rule.
. . .“Everyone, then, that confesses union with me before men, I will also confess union with him before my Father who is in the heavens; 33 but whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens. (Matthew 10:32, 33)
How each one applies this rule in their own life is a personal decision. Of course, there are many in the organization that have no faith in Jesus. They are in because they were born into it, or because of other reasons that have little to do with obeying the Christ. This rule is not made for them. It is made for the Children of God who have faith in Christ and desire the reward offered to them.

I couldn't help but think of a childhood experience when I told my friend next door that Santa Claus wasn't real & the presents came from his dad & mom. He couldn't believe it, & went to ask his mom. The next thing I know his mom calls me to the side and said she was disappointed in me telling him there was no Santa. But I innocently said why would you want him not to know that you gave him the toys 🤔. That telling him that Santa gave him the toys wasn't true. Others are letting the fear of what men will do to them silence their voices. Others are biding their time looking for the best way to fulfill their mission to preach the good news. Many, have lost faith in God, but remain in because they want to keep contact with family and the whole issue of confessing Christ is meaningless to them, since they no longer believe in Christ and God.

  • @Twiz4271

The most ironic part is you have 7 men who say they are Jesus "brothers". Jesus gave a command to preach about his death and resurrection, which the Scriptures calls the Good News about Jesus. The organization talks about everything else but the Gospel, which Christ directed should be the primary message now. The Kingdom was the primary message in Jesus day while he was alive, but when he died, the Kingdom became supplemental, the Good News about Jesus became primary. These "brothers" of Christ do not 1) preach the gospel of Christ 2) do not call on Christ 3) do not baptize in the name of the Father, Son or Holy Spirit OR in Jesus name 4) encourages witnesses NOT to partake of Christs blood and body, which Jesus says "anyone" and "everyone" 5) Do not believe on him. Sure they acknowledge him, but they do not believe on him.
Funny how the apostle Paul, who had a heavenly hope, never considered himself Christ "brother" in the intimate sense like his disciples. In fact he referred to Christs disciples as "the Lords brothers"
So are these 7 men really directed by Christ? The scriptures says that "NOONE who trusts in Christ will ever be disappointed" So is it really about being a JW? Or is it about trusting and believing on Christ, and sharing the Gospel with others?
