  • One of the bigger doggies we've landed. Mr Mogi the famous Japanese bluewater angler managed to subdue one of the beasts after getting busted off by 9 monsters in a row. A classic bit of video filmed at Marion Reef in 2007. Nomad Sportfishing offers mothership fishing charters using 19 to 25 foot centre consoles to explore the remote bluewater and inshore sportfishing of Far North Queensland, Cape York and the Torres Strait. Hi, may I ask what you recommend on what type of kevlar to use for hunting dogtooth? I have had too many bust offs and lost numerous jigs because of this fish cutting my leader or the the kevlar on my assist hook. Information will be much appreciated. I enjoyed your video by the way. Thanks in advance! :)

*Should never swim a fish upside down as im sure you know when handling tuna, if you hold them upside down they almost go into a lifeless state and refuse to move... same goes for when you are swimming them! Had of swim that fish up right eventually it would've got stronger and started to kick till it got into a rhythem fit for release. Overall awesome vid, catch of a lifetime fish fellas👌*

no need to make it swim upside, it died almost when it hit the deck.
