You can also use a very small hairbrush/dog brush instead of tweezers;)
I loved the colors of yarn you choose to use on the wire arch. It's an updated 70's color palette which looks amazing. The macrame mirror was genius. The last piece was intensely creative.

I think these crafts can definitely be made sustainable too if that’s something that’s important to someone! the materials used are really common and could be ones lying around waiting to be used, so someone could easily use up smth like yarn or macrame that was otherwise going to be wasted. also, part of sustainability is how you consume! using these items wisely, repurposing things, and loving them for a long time is also a sustainable practice :)
To comb the rope I used a cat brush from the dollar store ! Fast and easy !

I love your dollar tree/dollar store videos! Don't feel that you need to avoid making them as often as you want. The way I see it, whether you're doing thrift store repurposing or making dollar store creations, you're giving life to items that wouldn't otherwise have purpose for most of us. And for those out there like me, who love to do the craft/project, but don't always have the vision for it, you're providing so much inspiration! Coming up with an idea isn't my strong suit, but I can recreate something I see you and others do...and that bring me joy! And YOU, my friend, are the vessel for bringing that joy and satisfaction into my world. So thank you! Always remember, your purpose is sharing your creativity with us, no matter where it comes from, so for you to filter that for any reason would be depriving us of your imagination and inspiration! Drew, I am LOVING your ideas, projects, and creativity. As we are all aware, the farmhouse decor is explosive right now. I DO enjoy several aspects of the farmhouse look. I love the distressed, rustic, and vintage look of it. I will be honest, I do not want all the "cluck", "moo, etc aspects of it. I simply put pieces in place that I enjoy. There's a plethora of items from a HUGE colorful Jim Morrison picture in my bedroom with random items in the background, to 'bless our nest or mess' 😉 I look at it daily!! If I want to change, I do! Thanks for what you do!!! Thanks for sharing!!

Those little rainbow lookin decor pieces could be REALLY cute little wall hangers for books or magazines or whatever, I actually may do that for some books!

For people who are on a budget. A thrift store item is going to better quality than and possibly less expensive than a dollar store item. So it would be a better purchase. And thrift store DIYs can be recreated because you don't need identical items. Like people know and understand how to be creative.
Plus pretty much every thrift store ends up having the same types of items. Like the knick-knack section, baskets, furniture, ECT. If you make over an ottoman or a mirror someone can do that to one they find or already have. Plus people 20 years ago all their stuff looked kinda similar and that's what getting donated so similar stuff is in thrift shops all over the country.
Plus there are places where there aren't dollar stores.
Please keep doing these videos! I love them so much and it gives me so much inspiration!!! Thank you!!!

Loved the mirror. If I could suggest, when making mirror you find a piece of heavy piece of cardboard 6" wide and wrap your string of yarn around it. Then cut both ends and you will lots of six inch pieces. I'm trying to think of a way to add mini or fairy lights. Love your channel.

Nope. We are creating the demand. The responsibility is on the consumer.
Shopping at the dollar store is fine as long as you're not treating the products as disposable just because they're cheap. Same goes for fast fashion.
@@BexMcInulty accessibility is a main factor in the demand. recycled, organic, and even a lot of quality reusable items are not only triple the cost, but usually not even available to good portions of the population. if someone is shopping at the dollar store that usually equates to them not having the excess of funds to get sustainable items. If you CAN shop sustainable, definitely do, but not everyone has the privilege unfortunately. Which is why putting more energy toward big corps (fast fashion included) is needed.
