If you are passed over for leadership positions because you just got married and they're scared you might get pregnant and go on maternity leave, it doesn't matter how good you were. If companies push you out of your hard won position while you were on your maternity leave and make something up to fire you after you come back, that will set you back... Competency is important and I stand with you on it, but in order for a meritocracy to be completely fair the world must be fair, and that's simply just not the case...

I did computer science and engineering in UmaT, in my class we had 49 boys and 3 girls. What can be done? Should we lower the entry requirements for women? No! When the president saw the divide between the educated and uneducated and how poverty contributed to this, he created the “free shs” and free feeding as at least concrete steps towards solving that. What are the concrete steps he’s put up to encourage and create a better system for women? When the French president committed himself to getting half of his governing ministers as women, he did just that. Appointed 11 men, 11 women. Perhaps Nana Addo should be more dynamic in his approach to women empowerment as well.

If you are passed over for leadership positions because you just got married and they're scared you might get pregnant and go on maternity leave, it doesn't matter how good you were. If companies push you out of your hard won position while you were on your maternity leave and make something up to fire you after you come back, that will set you back...
Competency is important and I stand with you on it, but in order for a meritocracy to be completely fair the world must be fair, and that's simply just not the case...

I did computer science and engineering in UmaT, in my class we had 49 boys and 3 girls. What can be done? Should we lower the entry requirements for women? No! They should be encouraged to do more so they can make it! They should be told to stop slaying on socail media and learn! Simple and they will be in a better position to chosen to lead.

The Ghanaian president is making a lot of sense, explaining what he believes the solution to be and what he has done in his capacity to push and apply those solutions. So I don't get what's wrong with his statement.
