I'd like you to do more reviews or quick look vids of games you either don't have time to do a lets play of, or plan to play in the future. You are good at breaking down the meat of whats in things in a just the facts way that neither puts the game down nor overly hypes it.
Game looks great and i'm really sad there's no pc version for some reason, but come on who was in charge of naming it and how did it pass up the chain to reality?? This is truly one of the names of all time!
Growing up, Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen and Ogre Battle 64 were two of my all time favorite games still today. Love seeing a modern take on those games here! Now if we can just get this on PC
This is the spiritual successor to Ogre Battle I've wanted for decades and I loved the demo. Only FFVII rebirth is first in line for me. After that it's this.
I've had Fire Emblem Three House for a year, played for 10 minutes. I got Unicorn Overlord last week and I'm 60 hours in. Excellent game! Vanillaware and ATLUS need to cook another one.
Looks a lot like one of my childhood favorites: Ogre Battle / Ogre Battle 64 untold hundreds of hours went into those games. Very similar setup with overworld/units/groups/esthetics. Def going to buy this just to support a company that is rebirthing one of my childhood loves

This game is going to be one of those games that will take over my social life. The last game that did that was The Witcher 3. I'm so hyped for the full release!
I heard this game through Ratatoskrs most anticipated games of 2024 video, and wasnt even planning on playing it, I dont play strategy games and I dont typically play anime styled games too often, so i didnt think I would enjoy this game. However, this game is easily my GOTY, was some of the most fun ive had in a while, after finishing the tutorial I switched to Expert difficulty and 100%'d the entire game, and loved it from start to finish.
I think my top two series in the genre are Fire Emblem & Valkyria Chronicles.. But there have been phenomenal other titles too like what you mentioned, Jeanne DArc and also Stella Glow
Would love to see this come to the channel. being a unicorn overlord myself, i cant wait to see how well you progress through the game. i love your tactics games and love binging old series where i can get hours and hours of Odd time.
Omg yes!!!! I'm a sucker for their other games 13 sentinel and Odin Sphere! I played Unicorn Overlord Demo on the switch a few days ago and I'm still not 100% sure, but I'll be watching and after Rebirth I'll probably grab it on a sale

Who wouldn't want to be Unicorn Overlord? This looks like an evolution of FFTactics to me, with a much larger scope - and removing the repetitive nature of some of the in-between fights since it's an autobattler. Would definitely like to see more.

I loved the mission where you rescue Scarlett. The ending was satisfying to crack open, and made me feel really good due to the foresight and item purchases I made hours earlier in the game.
VanillaWare has been one of my favorite studios ever since I first played Odin Sphere. I saw this when it was first announced in a Nintendo Direct and I’ve been so excited about it! I’ve been loving this demo, and I can’t wait for the full game. Got the collector’s edition preordered for my PS5, and I think I might get a second copy for my Switch so I can also play it when I’m traveling! I’m so ready!
They really accomplished something with this game it seems. It is super easy to pick up and understand but still has a ton of depth and looks gorgeous. I hope the full game has enough variety and content to keep the momentum going because the demo alone is so much fun. Finally a really promising looking strategy game from start to finish. I wanted to love Triangle Strategy for example but the content felt quickly very shallow and the scope of the story was just ridiculous (it's just one tiny territory with somehow 4 armies at play? made 0 sense).
@@jonnyvelocity I was hoping to play this on the Steam Deck too but seems like it's a small team so doing a proper PC port (including things like mouse & keyboard control) was out of scope for them. Plus PC games still don't sell a ton in Japan. Look how long it took Atlus to start paying more attention to PC for SMT/Persona games

WE are the Unicord Overlords!! I've always been curiously interested in these strategy games, but Advance Wars is the closest I've come to trying these types of games out. This game though... is sadly I think still not something *I* would be able to play. It's just so complex. BUT, I love the music, I love the art, and I'm picking up on how everything works well enough to be able to understand what's happening as I'm watching folks play through this. It's looking like an amazing game!

Damn this looks so good honestly. I'd love to lord over some unicorns, but no PC means I'll have to enjoy your vids instead! Which like... that's a win! I've heard great things about it too, and the art style is incredible, so I'm glad the gameplay holds up as well.

Of course make it a series! I biggest complaint about streaming these big complicated games is when streamers get bored of it and just stop a game mid-story... So annoying.

I have been having more fun with this than any game in the last two years, had no clue how much I missed Tactics Ogre plus the gambit like system actually feels good here and the pvp/pve at the coloseum just being build the most minmaxed incentivizes actually learning it.

I'd love to see you make shorts or a full length video of unit compositions and why you found they work or tips and tricks for units 'like setting a healer to heal lowest rather than themselves' oh and I am the unicorn overlord
Ogre Battle 64 is in my top 3 games of all time, and this game is the first game i've played in a long time that recaptures that initial feeling that i had playing that game as a kid. Symphony of war and those other games exist, but this game is a true spiritual successor, and i cant wait for tmmws launch.
Only thing I would wish is to be able to pick the moves my units do in the battle and not program a " if then do" but that's just me. Other than that I am excited to play the game

Some of the UI reminds me of a Eushully game. I doubt it will have as much spicyness though :D

Vanillaware makes so many great titles so I was already looking forward to this. But then I played the demo and this quickly became one of my favorites. Wish it was fully released already so I can keep playing!
I'd love to see you make shorts or a full length video of unit compositions and why you found they work or tips and tricks for units 'like setting a healer to heal lowest rather than themselves' oh and I am the unicorn overlord

Ogre Battle 64 is in my top 3 games of all time, and this game is the first game i've played in a long time that recaptures that initial feeling that i had playing that game as a kid. Symphony of war and those other games exist, but this game is a true spiritual successor, and i cant wait for tmmws launch.

Ooh a demo! What a lovely thing that used to be far Moore common that all games should do.
Only thing I would wish is to be able to pick the moves my units do in the battle and not program a " if then do" but that's just me. Other than that I am excited to play the game
