At the start of the season, Colin returns to the Ton having had something of a heartthrob makeover, but we soon learn he’s not as mature as he thinks.

It's quite a neurodivergent voice (and I mean that sort of in a cultural way - in no sense a stereotypical or insulting way, being neurodivergent myself, and knowing he has ADHD and dyslexia!). A voice that quite carefully and calculatedly picks through words to structure a sentence that means exactly what is intended, but with a slightly less varied breadth of tone in terms of pitch and pacing, compared to neurotypical prosody.
Since Season 1 of Bridgerton I’ve become a fan of his acting and am so exited for future projects of his 🩵 And of course I’m unbelievably exited for Season 3 Part 2 🥳

The Player side was supposed to be Colin’s misguided attempt at trying to fit in with the ton’s rakes. Eloise and Penelope both see right through his fake player persona and Lady Whistledown calls him out on it in the first episode itself. It’s meant to show how lost Colin is while he’s travelling through 17 cities, because Pen has stopped responding to his letters and he cannot find an anchor anymore. By the end of Part 1 Colin himself admits that he has been trying to be someone that he wasn’t
his player side is a facade he was putting it on to try and fit in, part 2 will be all about his wholesome true self side
