Hello! Solis Game Studio here! Here are some rules clarifications!
1.) ULTS / PASSIVES: Ultimate cards start on the table next to your passive. In this space, they are 'stored'. Basically you need Energy to add the Ultimate card to your hand and power on the Passive.
2.) STORAGE:Taking out the insert is intentional! This allowed you to archieve a bunch of Paragons!
3.) BATTLE: Counters happen first. Then, both attacks happen at the same time. So you each hit each other for your respective damage values.
4.) EXHAUSTED CARDS: After a card is played, its exhausted. You can rest to return them to your hand. Ultimate cards begin the game stored. Other cards dont enter the stored space unless specificly instructioned.

The game is actually very easy. You both play a card face down. Check if one card is countered. If so it doesen't deal damage and it doesen't activate the special power. Then the other card (or both if there are no counterd cards) deal damage and activate powers.
