This is so important. Wilfred Legei, and those like him who are protecting the wildlife and ecosystems they inhabit are a part of creating a better future. For all of us. I am so thankful for their diligence and compassion. I wish Mr. Legei, and everyone at Lewa, safety and success.
FROM AUSTRALIA, WELL DONE 💯 THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING THEM,, WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH TO SHOW THE REAL APPRECIATION❤❤, THIS IS THEIR LAND/WORLD TOO,, AND WE 100% NEED TO BE THEIR VOICE.. 🙏 & Protector..
Thank you BBC Earth Unplugged for covering this subject! I have now signed up to make monthly donations to Lewa to support their work. Thank you for reminding us of the important work that happens every day all around the world
Great content, great camera work. I'd love it if you would share some drone footage that doesn't fit into whatever sort of episodic structure you're going for.
Hey Tania, thanks so much for the comment. The film was shot on a mixture of SONY FS7 and Canon 5D mk3 using the DJI Ronnin for some of the smoother sweeping shots. Hope you enjoyed it and please do subscribe not to miss the other films from our Kenya Expedition.
looks like great area for drone surveillance... infra red night time detection of poachers. one man could cover thousands of sq miles.. hell farm it out to the US military in Las Vegas....
I wonder how dangerous his job is. Do poachers try to kill him if he confronts them? It's sad to think, with all those wild predators around, other humans are what he has to watch out for.
Wilfred and the other rangers are doing a noble job, trying to preserve Kenya's wild places. Great film guys!
C bad

The rangers that work at Lewa are such dedicated and knowledgeable people. It was a privilege to spend time with them.

Love this!! Beautiful camera work, and the colour grading is stylish too. What was it shot on? Any Ronnin or Osmo shots?

subtitles kind of take away from the visuals, no need for them, you could understand him well enough

Yes Poacher will shoot to kill.
Poachers aren't necessarily murderers.
