No, Broker is NOT Lee Ji-eun's (IU) acting debut. She has been in the industry for quite a while now. Her most prominent role is in the hit fantasy K-drama, Hotel Del Luna.

I am so happy that Aisling Franciosi has finally been given a role worth of the talent she showed in The Nightingale, a criminally unseen masterpiece. It is very sad that Australia has this distribution issue and is very difficult for them to market and release their movies outside of of Oceania... A good example would be the winner for Best Actor from last year´s Cannes - Nitram, a movie that actually is non-existent outside of Australia...
Also, Franciosi, Paul Mescal and Emily Watson together sounds delicious. It was very clear for all the fans of Normal People that Mescal is gonna be a huge star and a very prestige kind of actor.

And you did not saw the screenplay winner Boy from Heaven and the second winner of the Jury prize '- EO. To the second winner of the Jury - The Eight Mountains - you gave just 1 nom. So from what I can see here and in other places, the consent which films of the official competition among critics and jury circles around 4 films: Triangle of Sadness, Decision to Leave, Broker and Close. Your enthusiasm around Leila's Brothers convince me to want to watch it as well. Same goes for the two entries outside the official competition that you loved: Aftersun and God's Creatures.

Well, it was not part of the official competition, so actually it is quite the opposite.
In what way? All I've heard about this movie coming out of Cannes is that it's incredible; an instant indie classic.
