I believe that Ms.Briban is one of the most outstanding sopranos nowadays. I have carefully watched the youtube clips and it's amazing how one woman can be so different, how the voice captures the whole beauty of each role. Please visit London!
I've just discovered her today, so I have to see and see again her videos to gather and order this firework of impressions she gave to me. My first approach would be : a real non orthodox way of singing in the tracks of Mara Zampieri, but electrifying at so many regards. I'm upside down.
This is just the dress rehearsal, but I have been so lucky to see two performances of La Traviata with Roxana Briban at the Wiener Volksoper! The colors of her voice and the divine pianissimos make her interpretation of this sublime aria simply heartbreaking! She reveals perfectly Violetta's drama; in fact her voice is ideal for the role!! BRAVISSIMA and thank you for your art!!
Dress rehearsals are not usually inspiring, and I'd like to see her Violetta before an audience. The clip of Violetta's death is haunting and unforgettable. Do I have to go to Europe? It would be much easier for me if she would come to The Met.

I didn't know "Addio del passato" had a second verse! What's she saying (my Italian is minimal/nonexistant), and why have I never heard it before?
