William Zabka and Ralph Maccio would have become good friends again after the Bro Mitzvah episode in s8 of HIMYM. That might have led to them deciding to make a show based on what happens after the first 4 movies. (Idk, I might be looking too much into this)

i really did not expect to like this series, but my husband and i both LOVE it. i was 8 when the first movie came out, and ive enjoyed watching it a few times over the years, but i was not what one might call a "fan." nor do i have any interest whatsoever in karate. it reminds me of the nighttime soaps my parents used to watch, like dynasty. maybe a little predictable and cheesy sometimes, but thats part of the fun.

i really did not expect to like this series, but my husband and i both LOVE it. i was 8 when the first movie came out, and ive enjoyed watching it a few times over the years, but i was not what one might call a "fan." nor do i have any interest whatsoever in karate. it reminds me of the nighttime soaps my parents used to watch, like dynasty. maybe a little predictable and cheesy sometimes, but thats part of the fun.

What about in Karate Kid when Tommy says “put him in a body bag!” And then after he died in the show it showed the medics putting him into a body bag.
the original all valley logo poster had red mats just as the tournament,the new logo had blue mats just as they made a big deal about,cant believe netflix's all seeing eye didnt pick up on that when they manage to catch all the other "easter eggs"
