    Hey all, this video is a compilation of disappearances that I've covered over the years so I've added timestamps for you to skip around the video in case you've seen / remember any of them. I have a lengthy video coming next week, likely around 40+ mins on a disappearance that I'm pretty sure most won't have heard of. Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.

    So stupid to go out in the wild with an injury!! For many reasons! One is it can hamper your abilities and endurance if something happens. And secondly it is a literal known Fact that predators of all types are attracted to and go after the weak and injured. This too young or too old, hurt or with a defect or disease. Why would anyone think it’s a god idea to both separate from the group and have some variable that can and will physically hamper or weaken them is beyond me!!

    Rodney from where his remains were found from where he left his equipment at the campsite what is the distance between the two of them is it an easy place to you know move to from that spot how far away from where he was last seen by his friend and the equipment was found as well as his remains were found or the distances there What is the terrain like Do we know is it Able to be seen like on Google Maps like the distances questionmark It's sad that he passed away and was not found in time If it's from the first case there are lots of caves in the area is it possible that it was in 1 Trying to get away from something like an animal or a creature or something who knows. I feel sorry for the man to go like that just stuck in the wilderness

    Could be great but you play the same 4 seconds of music ad nauseum which produces ear fatigue. Why do you think you are cranky when you are put on hold when calling any business in the world? You hear 4-6 seconds of the same music for 10 minutes….your brain does not like this: biological fact. There is not a legitimate filmmaker in the world who would score a film or video like this. You could be great but you are shortchanging your own work.

    Regarding the last case, I wonder if Lucas’ initial 112 call was intercepted by someone with nefarious intent who did ‘something bad’ and it was covered up by the authorities for some reason. No doubt SOMETHING is being covered up. Very odd indeed, and a terrible ordeal for the young man’s family.

    The story on Lucas and what happened to him is very odd indeed. Something very weird or macabre happened out there, and they are not going to let anyone know what it is. They need their tourism and they cant be putting the scares out there. What are they hiding and why ??? I believe there are a lot of cases like this in these national parks that are very covered up.

    After all the public interest in Missing 411 it’s intriguing why the authorities haven’t developed specific SAR strategies to find these people, strategies that take into account that people may be found higher up, around water, etc, because it appears that those individuals who are not found could be in difficult to find areas.

      I wish a writing campaign to the Department of the Interior would start and demand some policy changes. List of missing persons in national parks, access to FOIA, posting missing people on the usual lists like missing and exploited children.

    • @Feadim
      @Feadim 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most of these cases are fair old, and the authorities haven't the proper training. Today most people are find relatively quickly because new approaches and protocols for searching people. Obviously isn't perfect, but the amount of people that disappeared and never is find, is very low today compared to 50 years ago.

  • @kathryncumberland

    With that last story, once the family had possession of Lucas' body, they could have opened the coffin and they could've commissioned an autopsy privately.

    • @MissingVoidTV
      @MissingVoidTV  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The way it reads, I'm not even sure they ever had the body. Though you'd think that they could've had the body exhumed after the fact.

    • @moxellex
      @moxellex 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      i don't know if a private autopsy is even a thing in France ? never heard anything like that happening anywhere in Europe, you need to have some new evidence to present to the police etc & then they decide what to do . as a private citizen you have to rely on authorities in cases like these .

    • @kathryncumberland
      @kathryncumberland 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@moxellex That's crazy. I mean, obviously one must petition the correct authorities in America as well if one wants a body exhumed. But they tend to go with the wishes of the family. And if it's prior to burial, I believe it's fairly simple to commission an autopsy if one doesn't agree with the findings of the medical examiner.

    Hi Adam!
    Thank you for the one hour disappearances video! Some of these cases I've never heard of before. I used to live in Clarkston Washington a long time ago which is super close to Hells Canyon. I hope that Rodney, Todd and Lucas all rest in peace. Speaking of Lucas I found his whole disappearance to be bizarre it's just weird and I can't even imagine how his family felt not being able to see him cause of the body being damaged. The operator wasn't very helpful when he called just dismissed him completely. I enjoyed the video though and look forward to seeing your next video!

    The entire story of the disappearance of Lucas is filled with oddities. His poor parents didn't get any answers and the authorities acted like Lucas belonged to them and the parents were just curious observers. Terrible. How did a young man die on an easy trail? That doesn't really make sense either.

    Lucas Renoud: Strage to get lost in this way in central Europe, not in the high mountains, not in Scandinavian wilderness, but the French Jura, in a hotspot of tourism. The job made by the authorities - even stranger; the internet is full of this.

  • @LMichaelL65
    @LMichaelL65 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The case of Lucas Renoud is one of the strangest I have ever heard of. From what you stated, the circumstantial evidence points to a cover-up. It seems as if the authorities know something more and they are covering it up. The thought that is going through my mind is about the strange 112 call. It almost seems as if it were scripted, that he was being forced to make that call. Also, I have never heard of a family not being allowed to see the remains of a loved one, unless the body is infected with something, or has been exposed to something toxic, such as radiation or some type of chemical toxin. If I were the family, I would want to body exhumed to see if there is even a body in the casket, or, if that is Lucas' body, and find out what the cause of death was.

    I think this case needs to be reopened the body zoomed the body given to a private examiner in the employee of the family and the family should have the right to see a body before it is interred. didn't anyone of the family be allowed to see the body only just for identification purposes what if it was a different person what if it was a person the police were trying to get rid of and it wasn't Lucas at all how do they know the coffin wasn't empty they didn't say the family were Paul Bearers they don't know how heavy that was It could have been filled with bricks or tile I think the family should fight and have that body exhumed and examined as best it can be now it's like what 10 years later or close to it it's just the whole thing does not make sense and they should never have just dismissed the case the way it was dismissed there has to be a reason why he died it was 8:00 o'clock at night when he made his phone call Or close to it in France at that time isn't it getting dark Like 8 9:00 o'clock starting to get dark Maybe he lost what he lost of his friends so he couldn't figure out where he was and possibly when he called the phone no 11 2 he was obviously lost he did not know where he was or how to get out of where he was at And he was tired of walking back and forth in like like pacing or just trying to find the the way out maybe maybe some somehow the the wake up block with something like brush or maybe someone in the group was pulling your practical choke on Lucas this is the goal let's let's hide the trail so he can't find us When I went wrong they didn't want to own up to it cause then they could be accomplices to murder or tried for murder second degree murder I really don't know this is an odd one I feel so bad for the family and the parents because you have a right to see your channel before their buried there should be a law in every country that states no matter the condition of the body the family should be allowed to see at least one member of the family should be allowed to see the body for identification purposes if it's still identifiable I mean if something had bit his face and eating it then yeah I could see that would be a little gruesome but his clothing his his items personal items is wallet whatever that he had on him that showed identification should have been displayed to the family all of his clothing all of his items and if the body is damaged as they say probably due to the heat impossible animals going after the body Still they have a right to see the body A legal right to know that this person was the person Then it is assumed to be I mean if this if if the guy the family know know that the guy was heavy or thin tall or short and there were differences in those parameters for this individual the dead body then they would know it's not their son and their son is still out there somewhere.

    Ppl that go missing on bush walks in group, I'll never understand why this happens or are ppl just too selfish to not think that one person should stay behind with the injured person. You always here about the person who is separated from a group always goes missing but on one ever thinks that they can prevent this by just staying with the person either one or two with the injured or the whole group staying together.

    If Kat's disappearance was an episode of CSI or other similar shows, it would have narrowed down to her husband. He wouldn't have done anything other than meeting Kat at the parking lot, killing her immediately and simply putting her in the trunk of his vehicle. He even had 90 minutes to drive outside of the 5km radius and dump her body in a gully somewhere in the desert. He then drives back to the parking lot and waits for her friends to show up.

    • @ddmozz
      @ddmozz 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I don't buy that one. You're telling me he would have to a) follow the group at enough distance he wouldn't be seen but close enough to follow their steps b) with no guarantee there would be a separation at a random point in the hike c) kill her and the dog ? leaving no evidence, transport her body to the car park d) travel with the corpse to somewhere, again leaving no evidence in the car. Way too many variables and moving pieces for anyone to even attempt that.
      This kind of rationalization to explain away the unknown is just fear.

    was in a thick wooded area how did she get sunburned I mean over the 6 days yeah but still it doesn't sound right if you're in if you're in shade thick heavy shade from a thick heavy wood you're not going to be sunburned you're going to be tanned but you're not going to be sunburned The sunburn is painful and after a while you don't want to move when your sun burned you want to put cool water on it or some to relieve the pain So I'm surprised she didn't find a small stream to just lay in and let the cool water cool her down usually if you get sunburned like that you're going to suffer heat stroke I'm surprised she didn't.

    Another reason why people leave the trail or lag behind is maybe he got a stone in his shoe a small pebble and that's annoying if you're walking on it you can cause blisters maybe he's a blister he got who knows for whatever reason he may have stopped and taken his shoe off to check the blister and do some repairs on it with moleskin or some other helpful stuff Orders to move a pebble from his shoe who knows And while he was doing that he lagged behind and he got lost from the group he got separated and then he could not figure out which way to go to find them if he thought of who went cross country He would catch up with them quickly and still using the trail and staying on the trail to to maybe spot the missing people of his crew he was trying to refine So there are many reasons why he lagged he could have lagged behind we just don't know what any of those are

  • @Shaden0040
    @Shaden0040 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    what's the usual reason why someone might leave the trail to take a leak take a dump and whatever happened he didn't let people know hey I got to stop and use the bathroom do toiletries Whatever he didn't let other people know that that's what he was doing Maybe he was embarrassed maybe he just didn't think he was going to be that long Would you went in front of the woods for whatever reason he got lost or went further in that he thought he was going to go cause he could either still see or still hear the rest of the group she went further in and then he lost track of the party it didn't know how to get back to them. you'd be surprised at how many times people say I got to take a leak or just get off the trail for a minute sit down rest whatever get some water get something to eat and people don't hear what's going on when they're in their party because they're talking amongst themselves and they don't hear the other party the missing party now say hold on a second I get to do some stuff
