Whenever I ask people if they've seen Seven Brides for Seven Brothers they've never heard of it!! It's one of my absolute favourites so I enjoyed that little serenade v much!
Gabbie your voice is truly amazing and you have inspired me to start doing musical theatre voice lessons you are truly and inspirational TH-camr and not self centered and fake like other TH-camrs (you actually have a nice personality).
You actually remind me so much of myself! You are one of the most real TH-camrs and I always turn to ur videos when I'm upset, like right now... Thank u, Love u ❤️
I love how your style of makeup has changed more recently from more rounded eye looks to more of a winged look (if that makes sense) it looks so pretty and really suits you! Xx ly
Hi Gabriella! For the shadows, its best to apply them with your finger tips or a synthetic brush. They have instructions on how to apply them on the colourpop website. :) And for the cracked shadow, you can just press them down with a tissue. Colourpop also has instructions for that on their site, I think its on their FAQ page. And remember to keep the lids on all the cheek and shadows close so they don't dry fast!
The shadows work best with your fingers or a really dense synthetic brush! I don't know if you have Flower cosmetics over there but for blending (especially the mattes shades) the E01 brush is the best one I've found!
I find the best way to use colourpop eyeshadows is to apply it to the lid and then use a normal matte eyeshadow to be a transition shade and blend out the colourpop shadow around the edges THEN add a crease colour (or apply colourpop shadow on lid last). I'm not a huge fan of the mattes just because they are a little hard to work with unless you just want a matte lid blended out with your finger. But no.1 thing that works with colourpop shadows is fingers!! I can never get brushes to do much with them at all. :) Hope I helped.
Loved this vid! Gabby you should make videos about the things you're really passionate about. Other ideas: you could do one about how to find a flat (what to think about, what to avoid, fees, references), about owning and caring for kittens/cats, about how to record songs (with Hobbie maybe). Hope those are helpful! x
The TV shows are Summer Heights High and J'amie: Private School Girl. Best shows ever ;) I do love those eyeshadows but it's a shame that they're difficult to work with! Have you tried patting it on rather than blending it? Love you x
eyerus I'm in the UK and they occasionally come up on BBC iPlayer (I think Jonah from Tonga is on there at the moment), and I have the DVD of Private School Girl. I'm really trying to find somewhere to watch Summer Heights High so if anyone reads this could you let me and eyerus know please :) xx
video ideas guys? i think... 1. draw my life (although gabby may have already done that!) 2. back to school makeup 3. room tour and how you designed it! any other ideas? xxx
a tip for the colourpop shadows- use your fingers! they're actually cream shadows so you will get the best colour pay off with your fingers. and for the blending brush, make sure it is synthetic!! hope that helps xoxo
I put a cream base on sometimes with a neutral eyeshadow powder over the top and then spray a synthetic eyeshadow brush with any fixing spray and it works a dream for me with colour pop eyeshadows! If not maybe those three are just a bad batch kinda thing? Xx
With the supershock shadows I have I apply the shadow with my fingers to my lid then you are able to blend into your crease. However I have lighter colors my favorite is wennie!
I think this is my favourite background you've had! I really want to get some stuff from colourpop but i've heard their international shipping cost is quite high :/
Colourpop eyeshadows have to be blended with a synthetic bristle brush. Thats how they work best. Crease brushes with natural fibres like you'd normally use don't do anything. Things like the real technique eye brushes work well, and applying with the finger is the best way to get pigment. I sometimes even blend my crease with my baby finger with these eyeshadows, hope this helps!!!!!!
Every cheek/eye product from Colourpop is a cream to powder finish. The ones with thick glitter are really hard to blend try wetting your brush a tiny bit and the non pigmented ones should pick up more and the hard to blend ones should be easier to blend! Hope this helps Gabby!! ❤️❤️
If you blend the shadow as you apply it it works. Use your finger it's really difficult to get a brush to work. Or just use it as an eyeshaddow base. I tried to use a fluffy brush and it just squished the eyeshaddow and didn't pick anything up.
I'd say do what makes you happy, do videos you enjoy doing because once you enjoy yourself, we can feel that too. Don't force yourself to do a Q&A on Anxiety if you don't want to. I personally find it boring since mostly every single youtuber talks about it and sometimes people with Anxiety need a break, I know I do and I want to be happy rather than talk about an imperfection of mine or try to understand it. I accept it so that alone made me feel so much better lately. So please, do happy videos, have fun doing what you're doing, it's your life and your channel at the end of the day, you have 100% control here
Just keep persevering with the shadows. It does take a while to get the hang of them. You aren't doing anything wrong. Just make sure you are using a dense fibre brush xoxo ❤️💕💋
+Gabriella ♡ also, try applying a skin tones shadow on your lid first, or use a setting powder, as it'll allow the shadows to blend a little more easily ☺️👍🏻
The way I use Colourpop shadows is with my fingers. I apply the shadow on my lid with my fingers in a swiping motion and then you just blend with a stiff, synthetic brush. Personally, they look/work better as just lid shades rather than crease/transition. :) Good Luck!!
Gabbie! The best way to apply colourpop shadows is with your fingers, you get the best color payoff that way. As for blending, try using your ring finger. This technique works great for me. :) Also, I find that real techniques brushes work really well for blending their shadows if you dont want to blend with your fingers, but you will definitely need to first apply with your fingers. Hope I helped!
I'd love you to do an anxiety themed Q&A, obviously if you're not comfortable doing one then I completely understand. I have anxiety and I have for 2/3 years now and it's got really bad recently and hearing other people's stories and coping mechanisms really help me xx btw I love this video!!
You have to use synthetic brushes, the metallic shades i like to keep as a lid topper or base. I try and use them in ways where they don't need much blending. I always make sure i have a non-colourpop crease shade first before i use them :) x
oh and for applying them straight to your lid, always use your finger for most pigment or they may just look like glitter. If you're not comfortable with that then i would say use a synthetic brush. Never natural hair brushes they won't pick up any pigment with colourpop. Oh and your voice is perfection!! I can so see you being the voice of a old school Disney movie soundtrack x
a couple other people have already said this, but it's much easier to use colourpop shadows with your finger and if you need to blend it, use a thick/dense brush (synthetic is much easier). hope this helps!!
No hate for gabby but I do agree with your mum! Your videos are predictable and pretty much all the same! I wish you would branch out and do different types of videos! I love watching them anyway but sometimes it's just nice to see something new and different 😊! Also I know you don't mean it and stuff but you're quite mean towards your mum! I just think that young viewers can take this in the wrong way! I love you regardless I just throught that I'd share my opinion!! Xxx
Why don't you suggest some videos then? Sometimes it is very hard to think of original video ideas and there are so many youtubers so as soon as one person comes up with an original idea, everyone copies. Gabbie can't help that. Also, even if she does sound quite mean to her mum, she knows it's in a jokey way and it isn't your place to say.
+Katie Ella it is actually as I am one of the viewers!! And I would love to see some DIY's and testing make up that's out of her comfort zone! It's not just me who thinks that read other comments!! I love gabs I really do its just sometimes she says weird things
+Katie Ella it is actually as I am one of the viewers!! And I would love to see some DIY's and testing make up that's out of her comfort zone! It's not just me who thinks that read other comments!! I love gabs I really do its just sometimes she says weird things
If you don't want to talk about your anxiety, don't. I and lots others don't think that your videos are boring. This is your channel to do what you enjoy and to be comfortable with. I actually love your videos!
I don't know how u can fix the blending issue on the colour pop eyshadows but maybe u could wet them/add fix plus or something idk and use it as an eyeliner drk xx
When I use my colourpop eyeshadows I always apply the base with my finger (I usually do two to three swipes from the pan) then with my finger again, dab some of my darker second color along the outer corner and crease. Once I do that I take a small fluffy brush & soften it up a bit (if it isn't dark enough I'll dab a bit more, then soften again.) If its on the darker side, I'll take a smudge brush, dip it in the darker color then go over my lower lash line. As far as eyeshadow goes, that's about all I'll do.
I also have girl crush & it's one of the ones I use most. So hopefully this helps! Ps I usually pair GC with party time (a satin purple-y duo chrome-y color,) Tink (medium grey, which I'm pretty sure is satin or matte,) or roulette (matte black)
Colourpop eye shadows are best applied with synthetic brushes, preferably dense ones. I personally like to use real techniques eye brushes, especially the dome shadow brush for blending Colourpop shadows in the crease. When applying colors to the lid, inner corner, or brow bone it is best to use your finger and then use a synthetic brush to blend. Once you get the hang of using them they are a dream!!
With the color pop eye shadows being very creamy they are a little easier to blend with your fingers. The main thing that worked for me was adding little by little and building it up. Also, have you tried wetting your brush or finger a little bit? Sometimes that's useful too.
ColourPop eyeshadows are definitely tricky. For the shimmer shades you pretty much need to apply them with your fingers to get them to work. For some of the matte shades as well. And I would definitely recommend using a synthetic brush to blend them out!
Some of these colours are really pretty! It'd be so cool if you did a mermaid makeup tutorial and maybe even an outfit thats sort of mermaid themed too! Ly x
You have to use colour pop shadows with yours fingers - they work so well and are so pigmented with ur finger!! Also if u have any synthetic brushes they blend the eyeshadow soooooo well!!💓
Hi Gabs, this make-up looks lush on you by the way! But would you recommend the colour pop shadows then or would you say that the pigmentation or lack of is just a bit disappointing and aren't bendable? xxx
Hi Gabby, I love your background! Could you maybe tell me where the cushions are from? I' ve been looking everywhere for something like that, but havn' t been able to find them. Lots of love, Kyara
did you try a little fix+ with the eyeshadows that wouldn't blend? i feel like fix+ is the answer is everything tbh. ALSO ja'mie private school girl is hilarious! i love that show haha.

Also you are so beautiful makeup or no makeup. Xxx
The shadows work best with your fingers or a really dense synthetic brush! I don't know if you have Flower cosmetics over there but for blending (especially the mattes shades) the E01 brush is the best one I've found!

i think the eyeshadows blend way better when you apply them with your fingers :) x

she's moving house/flat so she can't really do room tour!
omg Gabbie I love the way you describe the colour of the eyeshadows, you crack me up! x
also on the colourpop website each eyeshadow has a description of how to apply, if that helps?
a tip for the colourpop shadows- use your fingers! they're actually cream shadows so you will get the best colour pay off with your fingers. and for the blending brush, make sure it is synthetic!! hope that helps xoxo

you have to use a synthetic brush for the super shock shadows that is the best way to pick up the pigment and its super easy to blend.
Quiche is a name for food here in America, is it not everywhere else??
Yeah it is here in England as well!
Yeah I was gonna say
The background is sooo nice! Also love when you put a little singing bit in videos, you sound like a disney princess 💓👑
Weenie is one that KathleenLights actually created! Just thought you might want to know xxx 💜
And telepathy! Xxx
+LifeAs Kat porter aswell
Try wetting down your brush with fix plus before you blend it might work xx it has worked for me for some of the colour pop colours ❤️❤️
Just keep persevering with the shadows. It does take a while to get the hang of them. You aren't doing anything wrong. Just make sure you are using a dense fibre brush xoxo ❤️💕💋
right, okay! il try that xx

I'm starting to go off gabbie and I don't know why 🤔😣😣😣
...okay??
No one cares
Why do you have to comment this??
Rhianna Ransi well obviously 3 people do cus they have commented
Holly Madden because it is my opinion and how i feel.. why do you have to comnent?
a couple other people have already said this, but it's much easier to use colourpop shadows with your finger and if you need to blend it, use a thick/dense brush (synthetic is much easier). hope this helps!!
I see you seven brides for seven brothers💗
I love your videos soooo much! Cant wait to see you filming in your new place! Take care xx
No hate for gabby but I do agree with your mum! Your videos are predictable and pretty much all the same! I wish you would branch out and do different types of videos! Do your mums make up or she should try n do yours lol!
Ive just brought my first colourpop lipsticks waiting for them to arrive now i'm so excited! Love your videos Gabbie, you look beautiful
The Colourpop shadows and cheek products work best with fingers or a synthetic brush!
Ps I usually pair GC with party time (a satin purple-y duo chrome-y color,) Tink (medium grey, which I'm pretty sure is satin or matte,) or roulette (matte black)
those first eyeshadows looks like great alternatives to eyeliner!!
Fyi they are a cream/gel shadow, so that one you had that was cracked you can just pack the shadow back into the pan
Always love your celeb inspired make up looks, especially Kardashian ones, if you need to view inso. Btw loved your colour pop choices xx
Loving the video gabby,, seeing how positive you are always brightens my day xx❤️❤️❤️
Been waiting for this! I know it's gonna be good, makeup flawless today Gabs! Xxx
aww i didnt know u had anxiety! i would love a q&a on it if u were comfortable doing it as i did find zoeys really helpful and interesting!
I love your lip colour in this.. wheres it from?? you are rocking it!!
22 by Kylie
I wish I could have seen the swatches, but the eye shadows are best applied with you finger and blended with a dense synthetic brush
Some of these colours are really pretty! It'd be so cool if you did a mermaid makeup tutorial and maybe even an outfit thats sort of mermaid themed too! Ly x
Try using synthetic brushes to blend them! Not sure if it will help but it's worth a try Xx
You could do a back to school q and a or a back to school inspired makeup look or hair.
You can buy colour pop from lustre cosmetics, they have a few products from colour pop! They ship in the Europe!
I just ordered my first colourpop order last week and seeing this in my sub box is making me even more excited.
Hi Gabby, you should definitely do a makeup video using all of your colour pop products as I think they would really suit you
Thank you for sharing the Koko K dupe! These are so much easier to get hold of than the Kylie shades x
You have to use colour pop shadows with yours fingers - they work so well and are so pigmented with ur finger!! Also if u have any synthetic brushes they blend the eyeshadow soooooo well!!💓
Hi Gabs, this make-up looks lush on you by the way! But would you recommend the colour pop shadows then or would you say that the pigmentation or lack of is just a bit disappointing and aren't bendable? xxx
Hi Gabby,
I love your background! Could you maybe tell me where the cushions are from? I' ve been looking everywhere for something like that, but havn' t been able to find them.
Lots of love, Kyara
I hope everything goes great moving today ✨ love you gabs✨
Is Olive Green good for hazel/green eyes because I am just starting out with makeup and want to splurge on eye shadows that suit my eye colour xxxx
Please film a 'testing makeup' video, because I think you're a very honest person so it would help us a lot! Btw loving the background xxx
gabi I love your vlog type videos there just so relatable and fun to watch xx
Hey :) did you use synthetic brushes with the eyeshadows? If so good because they only work with synthetic brushes and you're fingers :) love you!❤️
im so glad you showed how the products look on skin
did you try a little fix+ with the eyeshadows that wouldn't blend? i feel like fix+ is the answer is everything tbh. ALSO ja'mie private school girl is hilarious! i love that show haha.
