Small world, Marc. I'm on the border of KY, WV and OH, in a small town and your company came up as a subject of interest. I was seeing a patient this am. He had a watch with a handsome salmon dial. I look at everyone's watch when they come in. I saw it was an Islander. It was the first I had seen in the wild. I commented on it and your name was out of both of our mouthes at the same time. As I moved through his exam, we discussed our mutual love of horology and other brands and pieces we love. I've seen photos before but it looked fantastic IRL. I have yet to add an Islander to my collection. I think I'm going to need to.
I just rec'd the champagne dial version about a week ago. Love it! Best 200 dollar watch you will find. I have several Islander watches all are awesome for the price. Long Island Watch rules!!
I've had my eye on one of these for a while but ended up getting the ISL15 B type Flieger and I'm glad I did, it's an awesome watch. Still seriously considering one of these though, they look just as impressive.
For the spec (100m, actual functional lume, sapphire front and back etc), never mind the price, theres not much competition for these. I love divers as much as the next addict, but I reckon theres loads you can do in this space with dials, complications, sizes, bracelets etc.
Man you really put together a seriously excellent package. Next field watch will be this one. Your whole brand is genius. Edit: I’ll definitely review it too, I think if you get your company out there enough you could move some serious product.
I was having password issues logging in when you first launched the champagne dial last week. I'll have to try again soon. Have had to make a few unplanned purchases since. But that color Mitchell is my favorite, BY FAR
Very nice additions. I like all 3 versions. If I was picking at this very moment I’d probably grab the white one since I don’t have any with a white dial yet.
I would love a version of the champagne dial on the bracelet with baton hour markers instead of the arabic field watch markings. It would make for a nice semi-dressy sport watch at a $250 price point.
These are beautiful, and I'm tempted by the champagne dial. I'm still hoping you will bring back the blue Mitchel, or make a blue Day-T. I'm a fan of blue dials in general, as I know you are.
Hi Marc, I think these look great! Two quick questions: 1, have you considered color matching the Day-T wheels to the dials? 2, I may be missing something, but how does the rectangle at 12 help with orientation when it seems like there are also rectangles at 3, 6, and 9? Thanks!
@@islandwatch ah, got it, I was thinking about it as though it was on a bedside table, on the wrist what you're saying makes complete sense. Interested to see how color matched Day-T models would look, maybe some day. Take care!
I LOVE MY ISL-187! It's a very nice watch; its my favorite. If I may make a suggestion though, I think that the field watches, other than the one with the metal bracelet, should be equipped with NATO straps. I have the black, seat belt style NATO strap with mine. Seiko puts a NATO strap on their SRPG37; why not follow suit? Also, have you considered a DAY-T with a white dial? That would be KILLER! If you bring out a field watch with a white dial, I'll buy one... :)
Is it just me, or does the DLC coating make these look a lot thinner than the stainless models? On a side note, I just noticed you started selling Zodiac watches, Marc! Good call! Love thier use of fun colors, and vintage esthetics!
Is there anyway to get the black dayT with BGW9 lume instead of the super luminova? I know they come from the factory but maybe there was one laying around that you tried it on??
I'm loving the versatility of the watches you're creating. With respect to this video, I'd been wondering what it is about the champagne dial that's been bugging me, and I think it's the black numbers. I would have preferred simple markers for this dial. Just me.
Hi Marc, Received my ISL-41 about two weeks ago, swapped the buckle for a deployant clasp, which I think is a winner combination. Love it! The champagne dial on the bracelet, is really beautiful! Well done! Do you sell the beige strap which was originally on the ISL-40? I have not been kind to it and I'd like to replace it. Cheers!

Please? Please make an auto, 100m resistant, dress watch....with an indiglo dial! Yes...I want an auto dress watch with on off electric lume! Been looking for years...no joy
@@islandwatch I know...but there are options. I have had a few quartz watches with seperate battery for a ring of LED lights....but cant find a battery powered dial or rehot on an automatic watch. Do you have, or have you ever seen such an animal...by any manufacturer?
The champagne dial with the bracelet could definitely pull dress watch duty.
Yes; I would rather a dressed-up tool watch than a traditional dress watch
This was my first thought as well 👍
In fact maybe even a two tone bracelet with matching champagne instead of gold tone
sure can, thanks!
@@Joe_Serious Damn that sounds nice🤩
I bought one last week an I love it. I can't stop loving it. Thanks for all you do, Mark!
Awesome, thank you
What color?
Very nice! The all black is my favorite. Thanks Marc and have a great day! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks so much.
That dial on the Brookville would be 🤩
That champagne dial is going on my list. Once again, you really hit a home run on these.
Thanks Scott.
I ordered an ISL-40 back when they were first released and it's been a faithful companion running at +1-3spd. Long live Islander!
Awesome, thanks Jack.
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much!
If I didn’t already have a Seiko Baby Alpinist on a bracelet, I’d jump on this! The champagne dial is especially stunning.
It really is!
All look really sharp. I dig the English-only day function.
That champagne dial has a real Hamilton Khaki King feel and I absolutely love it. And the strap colour matches beautifully.
Thanks Ken.
The black one, in my opinion is the perfect watch. Sold!!

Yes, you NEED TO ASAP! I have one in my collection already, and it won't be my last... :)
Just ordered the DAY-T in white with the bracelet. Super excited.
Love the T-configuration!

I have one Islander myself, and it WILL NOT be my last!

Marc, Well done. I'm not into champaign dials, but that looks fantastic on the bracelet. Can't wait to see what's next.
The polar is perfection. I am glad you did not put any color into it. 👍. I need one of these
Glad you like it!
Love the black on black!
What I like about these watches, they're designed by an engineer, not a designer. Functional!
You know it
Mitchel watches look awesome, i like the champagne dial with bracelet
I was having password issues logging in when you first launched the champagne dial last week. I'll have to try again soon. Have had to make a few unplanned purchases since. But that color Mitchell is my favorite, BY FAR
Thanks for trying!
I love the gold/champagne colored one with the tan cloth band. Very nice. I might have to review that one in the near future.
like you say about divers "there's not enough white dial divers,! " These are killer. love the white no date!
Thanks so much!
Very nice additions. I like all 3 versions. If I was picking at this very moment I’d probably grab the white one since I don’t have any with a white dial yet.
Love the champagne dial one, you continue to deliver quality watches

Noted, thank you.
Here here
wow love these watches.
That "Polar White" is excellent as-is, I agree. Love the simplicity of it and it has great legibility.
Nice simple designs 😃👍🏼
Glad you like it!
They look great, well done
Thanks, Craig.

You know where 12 is. You would never mistake 3/6/9 for 12. But you can 11 or 1.
Have considered color match, yes. Not yet.
@@islandwatch ah, got it, I was thinking about it as though it was on a bedside table, on the wrist what you're saying makes complete sense. Interested to see how color matched Day-T models would look, maybe some day. Take care!
The champagne dial would look great with a cognac leather strap! 🔥
Love it. Any plans for a black dial Day-T in a brushed S.S. case?
Not yet, maybe soon.
Three killer pieces. Knocked it out the park again Marc , islander watches are on fire right now.
Could you do that (or another) in pistachio dial? Those are so rare but beautiful, I think you'd sell A LOT.
The champagne dial reminds me of my Bernhardt Captain watch in champagne.
Love the shirt and the watch!
Thank you.
Deepest Champagne dial I've ever seen.Nice!.
Thank you.
Marc; if you're going to have an exhibition case back, you should customize the rotor with your color & your dial or case back logo... just sayin' 😏
Simply great!
Many thanks!
Date-T. Glad there's still room to innovate.
I would love a full polished bezel and polished chamfer version that would be wonderful
Marc
I must say I am surprised you didn’t save the “Mitchell” name for a pilot watch. Yes I am confident you will get the reference.
These look excellent 👌
Glad you like them!
Nice, but you should also have an Olive Drab (OD) version for the soldiers and Marines out there.
Hi Marc I saw Joan Jett at Mitchell Field a long time ago 😂.
Hi Marc. Can you please make a $199 dress/minimalist watch? Something like the ISL-133 and ISL-134. They look great. Thanks. More power to you.
I'd be all in for that champagne dial day-t, but prefer a black case back

I'd say the coating does slim it down.

Pure class 👏
Thank you.
Please do the ISL-83 with the "Day T" function...Grazie!
I'm already shopping for that black Day T Mitchen. I hope I've got the spare cash for it 😄
Great!
Yes
looks good, I'd prefer no day, just date and color match that shit. But I love the black one
Thanks!
Marc, are there any plans for a future release of the Mitchell using an Americhron automatic movement? Would be great to see.
That would be cool. Not in the cards yet, though.
But maybe it should be named the Marc-T? Has a nice ring to it. Thanks for the video!
I like it!
I really really...really. want a black dial day-T with a bracelet.....!!!! How....what configuration will make that happen
I didn't do the stainless steel case yet with black dial (DAY-T)
Take a pic holding a glass of 🍾
What about a day date with full day spelled out? At 12 and date at 6?
Doesn't really fit on the day wheel.
Mark only wears the watch on both hands when making the video. right?
Nope. All the time, like right now.
I'm loving the versatility of the watches you're creating.

no problem, thanks for commenting.
I like them all. Wish they were 41/42 mm. Damn my fat wrists!
Sorry!
Why does logo point down?
Cause it's opposite day!

Not sure about a champagne dial on a field/tool watch tbh
Understood.
Hamilton has been doing it for years.

I’m literally wearing my khaki king champagne on a rubber strap. The only thing missing is a bracelet.
I wish the day was at the top
Me too. I tried but it just doesn't look right.
Please?

Hamilton used a "T" configuration for the day-date on the Khaki King long before this watch. I don't like that either.
Noted!
You sound like Dr. Evazan. Hopefully you don't look like him, too...
