You absolutely nailed it with your Rutgers take. They have a very favorable schedule this year and momentum is on their side. Rutgers will have a top defense and rushing attack. If the passing game gets going, watch out. They very well could be a top 15 team fighting for a backdoor CFP spot. Oh yeah, Rutgers also currently has the #7 recruiting class in the nation. Now is the time to get on the hype train. Schiano's vision for the program is steadily getting to where it needs to be.
I think it's worth mentioning they were in a similar position last year as far as recruiting goes. I think they were #11 or #12 last June, but ended #55. They get a lot of commitments early, which inflates the number, and then the blue chips commit elsewhere and they drop. I think they'll end in the top 45. They have under 25% blue chip ratio.
@@Waaterbottle I'm not sure where you are seeing #55. 247 has the 2024 class at #35. Your overall point is valid though. The 2025 class will probably finish in the #25-30 range. It is a class with solid quality and quantity, well above #45.

They almost pulled it off in St Louis in 2005 vs the Tar Heels. But Bielema has an improved team this year but it's clear the Buckeyes are the team to beat. They got so many transfers, coaches included. Iowa will be good because they always play good defense even if their offense is the butt of a lot of jokes by even the major sports media. Kirk Ferentz teams are just that way year after year it's been job security for him. It's interesting to see how the West Coast arrivals will do in year one and how far Michigan falls after their dream season. No more Michigan man on the sideline. Bama got their best defensive ack in the transfer portal. The B1G 10 is as Trump would say, "it's huge". Eighteen teams from California to the Jersey Shore. Should be fun to watch. And NCAA 2025 on PS5 and XBOX video game returns July 19th. I can't wait for the video game and real season to begin.
I thought your prediction about Iowa's defense was nuts until I looked at their schedule. Ohio State is about the only team they'll play this year that can score big on them, so I guess it's possible they could finish number one.
Be hard for Allar even another year in and new better upgraded OC with that WR room to improve that much guess 30 TDs 62/63% completion with more picks and slightly more yards than last year be a plus? Their RB room are best in conference in my opinion so think they run even more like Michigan last year.
Iowa take: 5/10 boldness. I could see their offense being so bad that their defense is on the field too much, but their offense was horrific last year and they still had a great defense. I think they return 9 or 10 of 11 starters. Oregon take: 3/10 boldness. I'd bet on Holden if we can only pick one guy in the B1G. Michigan take: 10/10. That's a total homer, ridiculous take. Ouch USC looking at schedule no Oregon but still 7-5 record looks to me. I feel 2025 they can be better though.

Rutgers should be very good. They're fast, physical, and disciplined on both sides of the ball. A good passing game can make them deadly.
