Orca with Marlin firmware 150mm/s print

  • Fast 3D printing with mendel-parts.com Orca and Marlin 0.9.3 firmware. The video shows some defects near the corners due to a slightly misadjusted extruder advance parameter. These are correctable and a defect-free part printed with same speed is shown at the end.
    The solid top infill is not completely closed but I'm still figuring out how to do that at any speed...

    This was with the V9 extruder, unmodified. Things that need to be taken into account:
    * Enough heat (I have been printing PLA at 230 and ABS at 260 degrees C)
    * Thin enough layers/tracks (this print was done with 0.20/0.36 mm)
    * Just right extruder tension (mostly trial and error, unfortunately)
