I went to Langhorn in 1970 we went to the supermarket to get shopping carts for shopping cart races Saturday night before the main show on Sunday. We went to a local smorgasbord loaded up on all you could eat delicious food. Came back to the camper. And found someone had stolen he he he our shopping carts 2. It was a great time too bad Sundays show was rained out and we went home to upstate N.Y and went back next week. I believe Merv Trichler "forgive my spelling" won that race. Jeff bodine had this white valiant with these special headers on it. My dad was always amazed at how quiet that race car was. Just sharing a few memories of my two trips to Langhorn for one race. My dad and uncle and older brother who went with us are now diseased God rest thie"re souls,I miss them terribly
I so remember this place. I got to meet Mario Andretti after a race, .I lived down the street from this speedway.We watched the races on the Wide world of sports.
The 1st race I attended was the Langhorne 150 in the late 60s. Mario won that year, and I've been a fan for life. Trenton was another track we went to see Indy cars.
When you ride by where the track was, if you look way back behind the stores on the highway you can still see a small part or the original track and guard rail. I think the 2nd turn. I went to a couple of Modified races there in the late 60's. It was a good show. Very fast and danger es.
@bugger06 Ive heard lots of stories about this track. Its a shame weve lost so many great facilities. Birmingham Speedway was recently torn down-it was the 3rd oldest track in the nation and home to the Alabama Gang.
I moved to levittown when I was 7 from philly and I remember the race track when we use to go to Greenwood dairy for icecream , even though my Dad had a drag racing car that he raced at Acto speedway in NJ. We never went to Langhorne track. Does anybody know why it closed down 🤔🤔. 😈☠👍✌✌
mY FATHER TOOK ME TO Langhorne TO SEE MY FIRST EVER 1 MILE DIRT TRACK RACE WHEN i WAS 2 WEEKS OLD, it was 1947!!!!!

I was at it several.... My Dad knew a Middletown cop.... He used to slip my dad N us in free....I was 6-7-8=9 years of age.... From 'Cobalt ridge'...
