I'm a guitarist and seriously this guy is probably the most technically proficient guitarist on the planet, his picking technique is so relaxed and efficient not to mention his hand synchronisation is flawless, he beats all the other shredders such as Petrucci, Becker, Buckethead etc, and he's basically the Japanese Malmsteen but better.
@@500本の歯を持つ恐竜を検索 If you've been playing 10+ years you should know that malmsteen is technically better than gilbert, petrucci, bucket head, and pretty much every other shredder but this guy
@@dathomirrules9689 yngwie is not more technical lol. He uses mixture of legato and economy in his 3nps runs with alternate meshed in. Gilbert strictly uses alternate picking for his 3nps, plays more cleanly while mixing in accents from his clever use of pick edging. His string skips are also probably the best in the game. Petrucci does everything Gilbert does just slightly less clean and tell me when Yngwie can do 5 finger tapping and 6 string sweeps at high tempos like Buckethead. Yngwie was legendary for his time but nowadays he’s nothing. Becker is prob the only one comparable to Yngwie in terms of technique similarities (economy, legato) but his sweeps are way more cleaner and dude sweeps in the bridge pickup
@@JamoZNL I've listened to most popular Bucket solos but if we're talking shred, I'd take nuno over bucket, but only if he does more of that soloing he does in viking kong with Paul Gilbert live
@@JamoZNL but tbh my favorite metal solo writer is Rabea (used to be from Anderson's with Rob Chapman) he's got 4 of the tastiest metal solos I've heard on their album Centered and One

technical wise Gilbert is still better and Malmsteen is worse than any of those guys you mentioned so saying he's the japanese yngwie is kinda a blow

He is so good yet he seems as if it's the easiest thing in the world to do. So sick!
Malmsteen + Gilbert = takahosi ohmura
Malmsteen + Petrucci = SYU
Perfect way to put it! If Syu were in a Dream Theater like band, he'd make a great strides in the USA for sure with the prog metal stuff.
