Wow Ian , I'm happy that you have Victor as a client , he is car crazy like you for sure ! This build is the coolest I've seen and I've been a hobby builder for 50 plus yrs . thx
I remember the episode showing the car parked out back and the tandem wheels blew me away. Very original build and your work shines Ian Beautiful style.
Welcome! We are going deep into Ian's body of work! Let us know what you think in the comments! As part of our new membership feature we wanted to show you what part of it is going to be all about! Join The Outta This World Crew!
Love you show ,your a great inspiration and instructor.ive been doing bodywork for 45 years and learn from you all the time. Thank you for all you do. Please keep up the great work and awesome videos.
Thanks for all your work. When I can afford to help you and Jamie with the channel, I'll be happy to. For now I'll keep watching, thumbs up and sharing, Thanks again
Just want to say hi to you all and Ian I enjoy watching you work and the way you smile and joke about your work and it always comes out great. God bless and have a blessed evening and night to you all
Hi Ian, i’m a wannabe welder. I have a multi process welding machine and I have trouble seeing where I am welding. I have an auto darkening helmet and when I strike an arc I can see the puddle but I have trouble seeing and following the joint that I am trying to weld. I start out OK but end up drifting off the joint Im trying to weld and end up in the middle of the piece im welding. It would be nice sometime if. you could do a welding 101 shop talk.
That's a great idea and I will try to incorporate that into a video sometime soon. We will be asking for topic ideas from members and this is a really good one! Thank you for the suggestion.
Love my shirt from you guys, love the content and happy to see your fabrication as a long time fan, stay punk keep being you. Thank you Jamie, you’re the best. I’ll keep buying merch whenever I can.
"I'm not sure I would want to join any country club that would lower its standards to the degree that it would have someone like me as a member" (Grouch Marx) and yet here I am. Thanks for having me. I look forward to the inside content. I have loved watching your work for years and have learned so much from you. I am grateful for your tutelage.
I really wish Australia had more relaxed automotive registration laws, most of the incredible customs in the USA along with the far out creations you have crafted would not pass our strict roadworthy/engineering/safety laws here. But I can watch and dream! Thanks guys.
Hi Ian, great to get this kind of insides! when i watch the full episode it seems as the last set of wheels was kind of unloaded and jumping all arround while driving. Or am i wrong?.. This might make it easier to steer the whole thing or was it just not possible to finish in time for the car show?
...to me, I consider this move is catered to those who have extra money to spend, kinda a privileged few. After paying for the internet and TH-cam Premium, I'm at my limit of funds to get any extra content (I think that's the case for a lot of older...70+ on a fixed income). It's a sad situation for a long time viewer to face the change. I hope you get all the money you need, now that Motor Trend has ended your show, ( I liked the YT content better..) your going to need it. I have to be honest though, I feel left out, but that won't change anything for you...After years of watching I never even got a response from you anyway. As I sit here writing this I watch your numbers roll up, you see dollars, I see people left behind. It's been a pleasure watching you all these years, it's going to be hard not to see you and Jamie anymore...-theautojunkie-
It's tough when things change. We appreciate your support. This actually wasn’t catered. So you are wrong on that, We have to do certain things on a platform to optimize the channel to find new subscribers…the mighty algorithm is fickle. This being said, we are still dialing in memberships, and may quit them altogether in the future or go way down in the price, it’s the Wild West in youtube land. Either way as Ian is an artist and has been taken advantage of for many years (more on that later) Ian as an artist has a right to want to be paid for some content. It’s not up for you to tell him how much he should charge. Things change and maybe the other builders will stay on youtube free, maybe they won’t. I feel extremely disappointed that many of you aren’t applauding Ian for taking back his art, his skills and doing it his way, not a pre packaged 45 min episode that you now can watch for free over at Banijay (again, more on that later) I also feel disappointed that you can’t just say “hey good for him and those that want to support an artist, while I can’t or do not want to (which is TOTALLY your decision) I will continue to watch him and just be in his corner as he’s given SO much for honestly so little”. Haven’t you watched the other guys tell you how the networks took them for a ride? Many of you paid for apps…what percentage of that went to all these guys? The men from RoadKill have told the truth. If you want to leave and not watch then that’s on you, but just as Motortrend is dying, this platform will and IS changing. You HAVE to optimize your channel to find viewers, it’s just how it is. If you’ve ever met Ian in person he would have totally taken the time to take a pic, listen to your stories and looked at your build and encouraged you. He’s got the most heart of any man I’ve ever met in my life. That’s why he is loved. Why begrudge him when we are figuring out how to run our channel? We don’t want to do watered down content or content every day for clicks, views and likes. It’s not a sustainable option for anyone. Nothing ever in life is free, except for kindness and empathy. Which right now I feel you are lacking for someone you say you value. We will be uploading soon the story behind the end of FCG in Ian’s own words, if you care to watch. If not I wish you the best finding your auto junkie content. Signed ~ a very frustrated content creator wife supporting her husband’s and YALLs auto guys dream.
Hi I am having difficulty signing up as a Canadian. It only list the address available as the US and it won’t take any card I have. Thanks. Love your channel!!
Hey Ian and Jamie, thought I'd take the time to send a little feedback and comment in a non-toxic feedback section. I know I'm a time traveller since your in the future and I talking about the past video wise >_< But I have noticed a bit of issues audio wise with low muffled voices with high volume intro and music (some wont notice because some modern tv's and PC audio have auto leveling of volume and sorta fixes it for them) just something to watch out for ( also my gf streams and I'm no audio expert but you can go down a rabbit hole $$$ wise with audio trying to fix things and more expensive isn't always better but sometimes needed etc etc, it's always something that needs attention no matter how long you do it so don't stress, it's always just a pain in the a$$ constantly fixing it) hopefully you know someone or can ask somebody that has spent the $ and has some tested solutions. For us, I have animals kids and fans and some noise canceling (on pc for us) can block all that out for her streams not sure if there is a portable version for your setup cos turning the fan off would suc in your weather and the shops such a nice comfy setup now .. also the planes and outside stuff just adds to the ambience of the place. On a lighter side loving the music, graphics and camera work
We really try to keep the general open comments non-toxic, I hide a lot of people from the channel and delete the vile ones to keep it a nice space for all to hang in. But this is a better way to communicate with those that have good or constructive feedback. I have ordered new mics. I think the ones we have are on their last legs. Also, the fan was a HUGE issue and Ian has gotten it turned off. It is a MUCH bigger space...more than half the size of his desert shop. I use IMovie now instead of final cut as IMovie is a bit easier for me to navigate, but the sound editing on it isn't top notch like final cut. I may go back and forth on this side of our channel to get the feedback from people such as yourselves so I can dial it in better. If you notice in the earlier vids on our channel the sound was all over the place. I am giving myself grace that is the same issue here. We are only starting to find our flow since moving our home and shop in such a short span of time, and still creating content to pay the bills. The dogs stay at home most of the time as they have a giant fenced in yard they love and the shop has lots of metal bits that can get in their paws, and we don't want them experiencing welding flashes. We can keep them in the office, but our dog Blue likes to pee both inside and out....and at any time LOL. Plus, it was production on FCG that wanted Dude in the show, not so much Ian's idea. We really went back and forth with memberships, but I told myself I would give it a few months and decide, so far as many that unsubscribed, we have had an uptick in subscriptions as the most optimized channels get the benefit of the all mighty algorithm (TH-cams doing, not mine). It is just they way content works these days. We have lots of BTS coming, including on the current builds. Ian needs time in the shop to just think and stare at his projects without me in his face with a camera. That is how so much got done so quickly on FCG. He spent A LOT of alone time in the shop staring at the project. We hope that the membership is a success so we can make more quality, less watered down and have a closer community feel and get feedback from those that are here to truly support and see an artist like Ian succeed. Have a lovely day! ~ Jamie
@@fullcustomIan For sure, that's when the real work is done staring at a project for hours totally get that and do it myself all the time :) . And yeh the audio just drops in the talking sections and have to up the volume to hear, but I think you guys are doing an amazing job keep yah heads up I'm positive the community will support your decisions and thanks for keeping us all in the loop. Cheers
thank you for posting this!

Always wondered how ya'll build stuff in a hour on tv... you were the man then and still are, straight forward with no bs.
Your videos are a true embodiment of professionalism and passion for creativity. Keep on making us happy with your work!💵🎖🦬
I like the videos way better when it’s just IAN.

That is a super unique creation and I dig it
Very unique and a lot LOT of hours to build. Thank you.

I love the different envisioning tools you use, the steel rod, and how the beak of the car follows the shape of your beak. 😮
Thanks for all your work. When I can afford to help you and Jamie with the channel, I'll be happy to. For now I'll keep watching, thumbs up and sharing, Thanks again
You commenting and watching is wonderful and we appreciate it!
I have a soft spot in my heart for Zephyrs. And this one is my favorite builds from FCG!
I am anxious to see how yours turns out.
We’re looking forward to getting it finished. Ian is getting it sand blasted today and we will have the vid of it next week 😎
@@fullcustomIan Your Zephyr is one of my favorite builds.
This was a jaw dropping piece of art, I’ve watched this episode a few times , looking forward to more and even better projects
Agreed. We will have another behind the scene up this week of another build. Thanks for being here and being a member.

Just want to say hi to you all and Ian I enjoy watching you work and the way you smile and joke about your work and it always comes out great. God bless and have a blessed evening and night to you all
Awesomeness
Thank you!
Your doing great. Keep on trucking and keep it real . I still think you need to solicit some sponsors of your choice to help grow the channel.
Very cool creation , thanks ! 🇺🇸🫡
I saw this episode another day here in TH-cam, wonderfull project, another idea for Victor, make a Zephyr camper, would be cool.
That’s a great idea. I know Victor likes them!

The one and only, and that's how that's done. Be well.
Victor should be the chief designer. He has the talent!
Sorry I can't afford to join but really appreciate getting to watch you work
Thank you for watching!!!

I really wish Australia had more relaxed automotive registration laws, most of the incredible customs in the USA along with the far out creations you have crafted would not pass our strict roadworthy/engineering/safety laws here. But I can watch and dream! Thanks guys.
in the US, each state sets registration and road use laws, they vary widely
It is tough to get those customs on the road sometimes!

I’m not sure if you are doing this now, but it would be great to get a day or two notice of live events. If you are doing that now, never mind 😎☮️🙏🍺😷
