After reading the entire series and watching the movie series (coming from someone who's not a fan of the series), from a narrative and character standpoint especially from New Moon, Jacob would've been the more rational partner Bella should've went with instead of Edward. If you remove Robert Patterson's and Taylor Lautner's faces from Edward and Jacob, and see the characters for what they are then you'll see the differences between what both potential partners offer Bella: Edward is always protective of her and pretty much doesn't let her do anything by herself (and for the heroine of the story, that's kind of insulting) as well as displaying classic symptoms of becoming an abusive partner that the "typical bad boy displays" such as leaving the girl for months and returning to her expecting to be returned with open arms. Every time she's around him, Bella always thinks about death and forgetting the life she's currently living just to be with him - selfishly pushing aside and hurting those that love her without any recollection of what her demise could affect them. Jacob on the other hand makes her feel alive due to his adventurous and cheerful personality, loving her for who she is and pretty much just being there for her without second thought and addition to that the duo have great banter with one another, often having small talk that doesn't involve death and suicide. hey jacob fans!!
since DaniiiCC created these cool videos (a talent which I admire in others, but am not so good at), i tried to come up with some writing to accompany them.
this writing is pretty close to me, since my own uncle died in a motorcycle accident before I was born.
but that's why I always loved reading about Jacob; spending "time" with him and Bella in the "garage", felt like home to me::

We walk along the beach, hand in hand.
Renesme likes the beach.
She says the sound of the waves remind her of her mother’s voice at night, as she would read her to sleep.
A half-muted, yet distinct lullaby.
It is easier these days, at LaPush. Less blood-suckers to hunt.
Now that we’re all clear on the issue of Renesmee’s true nature, the area is less invaded by vampires and wreakes less of their antiseptic scent.
We hike up to that sunny field where her Mom and Dad spent the most time.
She likes this spot. It blinds my eyes, a bit, when she’s in the sun.
Yet she is so beautiful;;
It’s so mesmerizing - how she sparkles
She’s so gorgeous… the way she radiates the rainbow..

This is one of her favorite places to visit;; (though I don’t tell her it is the least of mine.
)
