I was hoping it'd go into Platform 2 at Battersby Junction no such luck!I think that maybe only civil engineering trains go into that platform although I've never seen anything use it.
Going back a few years the NYMR ran four dining trains in July on the Esk valley branch and also the odd service train to Battersby during the spring or autumn steam galas. However, these trains haven't run now for several years. There's never been a regular daily passenger service by NYMR to Battersby
Good quality. Excellent route learning aid.
Excellent footage. Tidy looking new bridges. At 49.45 there appears to be a Narrow gauge railway on the right hand side. Any info available?
Yeah there is.. used to go there as a kid.. its a scale model railway

When was this filmed? Surprised to see no TPWS blue status light on Glaisdale stop boards.Or is it only indicated inside the token huts?
Did this used to be a regular service for NYMR as now they only seem to go from Whitby to Pickering via Grosmont?

What engine was this? I presume by the sound of the whistle it was a black five
I'd have to check back but I think it was either the K1 or K4
