Me too. I'm also ashamed for the same. May be it is because we inherited Islam that's why we don't take it seriously. As ALLAH said in the Qur'an that ALLAH don't need born Muslims to do his bidding, He will raise another tribe or people to get the job done. So that's what's happening. Non Muslims accepting Islam and suddenly they know more Qur'an and Sunnah than us
She definitely had the intention to revert, because she said she was studying Islam for 6 months and Alhamdulillah she embraced Islam in front of 1000s, who will also bear witness to her Shahada. May Allah make her journey easy, because we are all tested until our dying breath.
She had already become muslim by heart before asking that question , but Shahada remained and she did it officially infront of the whole world👏🏻✨

Given what we’ve seen of her personality, it seems she just needed that final convincing and acknowledgement from the Dr.
Some of us non Muslims, like myself, who are studying Islam have come to the point of realising that Islam might actually be true, but we’re scared of acknowledging it. We’re scared of the massive changes that will follow a conversion/reversion. Dr Zakir made an excellent point about non Muslims (particularly westerners) being afraid of what their family will think, what their colleagues will say, what society will do etc. So I think this sister was probably 98% sure about Islam but she just needed that final confirmation from such a learned and respected scholar.
MashAllah her tears were beautiful (she almost made me cry). Alhamdulillah. May Allah swt bless and reward her in this life and the next ameen.

What truth? The truth that Islam has only caused many deaths and there is nothing else they can show as proof that their religion is a peaceful and tolerant religion. Muhammad's example is that Islam is a religion of peace only when Muslims do not have power and numbers on their side. Once they do, things change. The popular apologist argument that many verses of violence apply to war is overshadowed by the fact that war has been started by Muslims, both in Muhammad's time and since. For the most part, Muslim armies waged aggressive campaigns, and dramatic military conquests of the religion were carried out by Muhammad's true companions in the decades after his death.
The violent verses of the Quran have played a significant role in the genocide. They are thousands of Muslims can do brutal things each day in the name of Islam and Allah, while a billion other Muslims don't seem terribly bothered about it. That is what makes Islam so dangerous. Moderate Muslims do not take the divine order seriously while Islamic terrorists take it literally, and understand that Islam is incomplete without Jihad. Those moderates, on the other hand, offer little to counter them beyond personal opinion. Indeed, what do they have? Talking about peace and love can only win over the ignorants.

Islam is very clear in this respect that ones deeds in this life fall only onto themselves for just their own afterlife! Hence, why education is the route to salvation before God.

Asalam Aleikum, our sister is correct that she had never practised Islam before I Farihah Kenyan I did my own research by reading both Christian amd Islamic books for some fewmonths only I went further to ask wuestios through Interogation by sheikhs, and even Islamic radio media called Iqra thereby I reverted to Islam being born of fully christian family so dont dout it happens Alhamdullah and I m comfortatable study deen on my own as I have not had luck to join a Muslim training institution to study quran Alhamdullah watching from Saudi Arabia

She asked the question in that manner because she was Jewish, and not a Christian. And therefore she did not want to include herself in that group.
So as a Jewish person, it is then logical for her to phrase the question as she did "why don't the Christians..."
Also she is not hiding the fact that she, and in the 6 months of research, was convinced of her belief in Islam.
She asked the question to reconfirm she understanding was correct that Muhammad was to be the last Prophet. Also, she took the opportunity to have Dr. Naik to publicly declare her Shahada.

The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable. She understood that and just needed a little push to fully accept the truth. She was possibly already muslim in her heart but had not proclaimed it, that's why she said her shahada.

@Steve Mac I'm just being picky here haha but he's not going to be resurrected because he never died as Allah SWT accepted his prayers in the garden of gethsemane. Therefore, Isa AS will return to earth from haven alive and well, who will then live his life until he finally meets death. But yeah you're spot on they don't even believe their own bible as the prophet Mohammed SAW is prophesied to come as the comforter.
@Steve Mac Hey my friend I hope you're well. So prophet Muhammad SAW is mentioned as a comforter as well as the spirit by Isa who will guide people to the truth. In the bible Isa AS tells his disciples that he has many things to tell them but they cannot bare it now and the Spirit of truth will come to guide everyone to the truth and it's goes on to say and I quote 'for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come' which aligns exactly to how Muhammad SAW received revelation from the angel Gabriel AS and everything he has told us regarding the day of judgment and so much more. I'm not a scholar or anything haha just very interested in learning about my religion and how it ties into other religions. I hope that helps.

@ FACT: WHY DID ALLAH PRESERVE THE QUR'AN BUT NOT THE TORAH AND GOSPEL
• Why did Allah ﷻ not preserve the previous books but He promised to preserve the Quran?
"Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian."
[Noble Qur'an, Surah Al-Hijr 15:9]
There is a big difference between the previous scriptures such as Gospel, Torah i.e. Bible vs the divine speech of the Quran. The former were divine messages delivered to the Messengers and they interpreted those (spiritual divine) messages in to their own words and delivered to the people. Their followers collected those messages in to book formats to recite their ownselves and for subsequent generations. This is the meaning of the following verse: “We have never sent a messenger who did not use his own people’s language to make things clear for them.”[1] They used their own words to explain Allah’s message.
However with time the previous texts of Bible and similar books got corrupted because of the human languages, in which they were copied, could not sustain against corruption for a long time. Not to forget the fact that Bible has also been lost and rewritten (from people’s memory, whatever they could remember) due to the dramatic events that happened in Israeli history.
As per linguists no language can sustain corruption for more than 500 years. With time, a nation's culture and language are bound to get corrupted and changed, for e.g. modern English vs Shakespearean English, a huge difference. But Allah’s divine words and speech called “Kalaam e ilahi” can never be changed. The previous books did not contain Allah’s divine words. Hence, the difference between the previous scriptures and the final revelation called Quran is the fact that Quran is not only revealed in the language spoken by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ but that it is also a Divine Speech of Allah ﷻ. Allah ﷻ actually spoke in classical Arabic; hence His claim that: “This is truly a glorious Quran. (Recorded) in the Preserved Tablet (Law Al Mahfuz).”[2] Law Al Mahfuz i.e. The Preserved Tablet of Allah ﷻ lies on His Arsh (Throne) and all that is going to happen, from the point of creation was penned in to it including the Quran. Since this tablet existed before creation therefore Quran existed before creation. Quran is also the speech of Allah ﷻ and His speech is one of His Attributes like His Knowledge (99 names) which is Pre-eternal. Also Allah ﷻ said: "...There is none who can change His words..."[3] i.e. He will protect His divine speech in which He spoke and delivered the final message.
What can be compared in Islam to the previous scriptures is what we call Hadith e Qudsi (Sacred Traditions). Hadith e Qudsi (sacred traditions) are found in hadith literature and are at par with the wording of Gospel & Torah and the words founds in similar books. Apart from Quran, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also delivered divine messages from Allah ﷻ which he interpreted in his own words to explain, and his followers copied them like they would copy & memorize the Quran. These messages were called Hadith Qudsi (Sacred Traditions). Hadith Qudsi differ from the Quran in that the former are expressed in Prophet Muhammad's words, whereas the latter are the direct words of Allah ﷻ. Hence what the previous Prophets/Messengers delivered from Allah ﷻ were similar to what we call Hadith Qudsi, which were divine messages interpreted in their own words but not divine speech of Allah ﷻ.

as she told that she has been through research for 6 months about islam and later she came to dr zakir naik sir and he made her clear Alhamdullilah we r pleased that Allah gave her hidayat and became Muslim not she but many Christians who got clarification by their own way about islam when you learn when you research you all come to at the point so she has done that.
My friends mom used to work at an elderly home in Denmark. 1 day an old Danish women who had only a little bit of time left before she would die (was told by the doctors she had a little time left) asked her about her religion and why she covers herself. She replied that she's a Muslim and Islam is her religion. The old women had heard those words before but didn't know what it meant so my friends mom explained Islam to her and the old woman said I never believed Jesus was God but only a prophet and God is 1 so am I a Muslim even though I never prayed, said the Shahada or read the Quran? My friends mom said Yes if I die believing this then U are and Allah says That he does not punish those who never heard of Allah or Islam but will test them on the day of judgment where they will be shown the truth and be given the chance to accept- or leave it and Allah says: And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning). [al-Israa 17:15]. So the old woman took her Shahada and told my friends mom not to tell anyone cuz she was afraid her family would stop coming to visit her and complain to the staff that my friends mom converted her and Alhamdulilah she died died a few months after as a Muslim even though she lived all her life as a Christian.

Well she had 6 months of a journey behind it, I would think that it would be more important for people to do their homework instead of blindly accepting something, typically with something as major as that which defines your existence. In my experience that one last hurdle to turn your heart is probably the most affirming and defining moment of all, you got to be ready and decided about it. Not an easy thing at all. I believe she was genuine and sincere. Usually those who turn and take these types of public declaration of Faith, you got to admire them for it, it is a Big step, a massive one indeed. And such platforms are sometimes the best opportunities for such people to be embraced into the Faith. If not at such a gathering, then at a mosque where there is an equally blessed gathering. It is said that at such gatherings Allahs angels present as witnesses and bless such gatherings and inform of those present at higher gatherings amongst the divine in the Heavens. So Clearly the spiritual dimension to the blessedness of declaring Faith at such esteemed gatherings is noteworthy.

So "maḥămaddîm" is translated as "lovely", and the "-im" added either means a normal plural or majestic plural,
