Remember guys two things: many performances may look so much better in TV than live. Also, the most exciting part of every new ESC is National selection season for me. Nothing beats the drama and excitement and what ifs during that part.
Oh wow, I was just preparing dinner with wine and wondering which episode of Alesia from 2021-24 to watch, and suddenly YT sends me a notification that we have the pilot episode of the new season! So so great! Thank you very much!
Haha! TY TY 🤣🙏🏾
Alesia's picks of Denmark and Germany for 2011 just reaffirms how much I love her taste!
Haha
I hope the UK learnt from Ireland and they send something different next year. My personal pick would be Paris Paloma whose music with British folk sounds and creative lyrics made it outside the UK and started popping up on social media, I recommend you to check out her discography, especially Labour and The Fruits, it's giving Lana Del Rey a bit. But essentially they just need to send something risky and step out of comfort zone. With their early announcement of participation it seems they're doing a national final for 2025...👀
Eurovision 2009 was my first one and im still very fond of: Is it true, Rändajad, Düm Tek Tek, Always, Believe Again, so it would be the best of the 00's for me. 2018 felt the most chill and drama free Eurovision with lots of competitive entries, best overall edition of the 10's. 2021 - good package overall and the best edition of the 20's so far.
2016 was a great year for Eurovision. It’s my personal pick for best year.
-many people hoped for Zurich because of the venue and supporting facilities; it has Hallenstadion (arguably the biggest and busiest indoor arena in Switzerland), and next to it is Messe Zurich (a convention-exhibition center); the venue is quite accessible through public transport as well. it ticks a lot of boxes. that is also why they were shocked a bit after seeing that Zurich did not make the shortlist.
-of the two shortlisted cities, it becomes a bit of 50-50; Geneva because of the proximity of its venue (Palexpo) to the EBU headquarters and the airport, Basel because they bid with a proper arena (unlike Palexpo which is a complex of huge exhibition halls). However, one (or some) of Palexpo's halls had been used in arena configuration for indoor tennis tournaments (such as Davis Cup in 2014 and Laver Cup in 2019), so that makes the host city competition fiercer than many people think.
My best/favorite Eurovision Edition is 2019
55:26 I just got an epiphany! Just pay Secret Garden however much they ask! They would wipe the floor with everyone else and would be an incredible repeat winner.
We need a duo win in this decade
I agree, if it done WELL and maybe with folks established as opposed to just two people put together
Hey its meh and I was the one who asked about the uk survey, and I looked a bit more into that and second place was a singer named Jesy Nelson (never heard of her) and third was Harry Styles
Isn’t Jesy Nelson in Little Mix. Idk I thought that name sounded familiar
@@EnisaLaverne She left Little Mix and is no longer part of the group
@@sav0001 Ok Thank U!!!!! I knew her name sounded some what familiar
If it’s Basel, you could stay across the border in Germany:Lörrach or in France: Mulhouse. If it‘s Geneva: Annecy?
New Zealand are associate members of EBU. I dunno if it‘s enough to participate…
A swiss celebrity: what about Trevor Noah and DJ Bobo?😅 The only other swiss celebrity I know of who has some sort of experience is Michelle Hunziker. Is she still Swiss?
if the EBU decides to invite New Zealand and New Zealand accepts, then they can. it is similar to the case Qatar and Japan joined Copa America once in a while.
Nah, the girl bops in 2021 were so much better than 2024.
Did we say they were better?
