- Andalusia is the main land of welcome for the Gypsies, who arrived in Spain in the 15th century after being driven out of Rajasthan, in India. They would be today four hundred thousand out of the eight million inhabitants of the region.
More than anywhere else, the Gypsies here are proud of their roots and their values. For a long time, they formed a secret community, withdrawn into itself. Today, the Gypsies organize the biggest parties.
To be better accepted by Spanish society, most gypsy families have chosen the Catholic religion. Every year, they take to the streets for the holy festivals that the Gypsies reclaim excessively.
During Holy Week, we will be with Chesco's family. On Maundy Thursday, its members carry the sacred statue, the Black Madonna. At the same time, in Seville, the whole city vibrates to the sound of drums. A unique moment in the world. Fifty-eight brotherhoods parade with incredible costumes.
Over time, the Gypsies have become the stars of Andalusia. Their dresses and their music make you dream. They are the greatest flamenco dancers and the most formidable horse sellers in Spain. They do business without a contract, on their word. Many have swapped their trailers for houses. Some have even dug the rock to settle there. Their way of life fascinates and intrigues.
However, a few kilometers from these party places, other Gypsies barely have enough to survive. One in two lives below the poverty line.

In 2017, I visited Spain, and Granada was one of the places I visited. I watched a flamenco show in Kouro's cave, although there won't be a photo of me on the wall to prove it! Wonderful experience. Vivan los gitanos!

they preserved more Rajastan culture than anywhere in Europe, in my modest opinion. offcourse it evolved in something completly new and unique
So this tribe that we see here the calé gypsies they came from south India Rajastan and also the domari and ghawazee tribes came from south India as well .. but than my Roma tribes came from northern India we lived beside the rayput king he was our king and we were part of he’s army .. and the Sinti tribes came from Pakistan region .. so the gypsies came from different parts of India we did not came from one region or cast .. and also mixed with other nations where we lived for many centuries ..

Este Documental carece de verdad, El Rocío es una Romería de todos los Andaluces , los Gitanos que acuden son apenas un 1,5 % de los Romeros

Il ne faut pas se fier aux apparences, ici en France depuis 2 à 3 ans il y a une augmentation du nombre de baptêmes d'adultes chaque année. Même chose pour les 1ères Communions et Confirmations.

Когда я была маленькая,мы жили с родителями в красивом месте близ большой реки. Там был большой луг,на котором остановился цыганский табор. Так вот,мы ,дети,сбежали вечером к цыганам. Сидели там около костра и слушали цыганские песни... Меня это потрясло. Но один цыганский мальчик больно ударил меня по ноге палкой. Я помню эту боль всю жизнь. Где-то наши пути пересеклись... Но скажу вам,что тот,кто слушал песни цыган,кого эти песни взяли за душу,для того другие песни- пустой звук.
Испания, моя страна, должна объединиться с Латинской Америкой и Россией, чтобы положить конец сатанинскому режиму Великобритании, США и Израиля.
Когда то давным давно, 50 лет назад, СССР, я с друзьями гулял на пустыре возле школы. Мимо меня проходила цыганская семья. И молодой папаша сказал своему сыночку, 5-6лет - "ударь его" (то есть меня). Мальчик улыбался мне и не хотел подчиниться папе. Тогда папаша взял его руку и ею ударил мне в лицо. Меня это очень удивило! Что то нацистское есть в цыганах.

siempre me fascinó la cultura de los gitanos, desde pequeño cuando los veía pasar en sus carretas destartaladas saludando a los vecinos del barrio en Buenos Aires donde me crie. La canción de Mano Solo, Les gitans, es maravillosa y me devuelve a esos años soleados de mi infancia.

It implies you’re completely ignorant of systemic racism that’s marginalized romany people not only in Spain, but all over the world in places where the diaspora settled. And you’re doubly wrong, a huge percentage of Andalusian romany people face extreme incarceration rates as a result of still being treated like shit by the majority of Spanish Christian (Catholic) society, kept in poverty, and lower rates of higher education. No, it’s no different in Spain than it is anywhere else in Europe. The only place we aren’t discriminated against for the most part is the United States, and that’s just because Americans are largely ignorant of the history of “gypsies”/ Roma/Sinti people, and because we’ve almost totally assimilated into modern US society.

Excelente documental. Es muy interesante conocer acerca de la cultura de los gitanos y gitanas españles y de cualquier parte del mundo. Estudié en Madrid enla
Computense. No pude ir a Andalucía pero la tengo en lista para ir a dusfrutar de la música flamenca. Mi nombre es Darío Mendoza (USA).
El documental mezcla imágenes de una boda gitana con la fiesta del Rocío, que nada tiene que ver. El Rocío es una fiesta católica de los locales, que en su mayoría no son gitanos. Al Rocío también van gitanos, pero son una minoría. El documental es engañoso, continuamente habla de gitanos, y eso es de lo que menos hay en en Rocío.

No viven excluidos por el racismo, como dicen en el vídeo, viven excluidos porque no se quieren mezclar. Ellos se ven como gitanos primero y como españoles después. Ellos son gitanos, se casan con gitanos, viven con gitanos, se juntan con gitanos y se rigen por su ley gitana y sus costumbres gitanas. Si se adaptasen a la cultura española y dejasen de lado ese pensamiento "gitano" serían tan españoles como cualquier otro y nadie tendría problemas con ellos.

Например, я валенсиец, и если бы я общался только с валенсийцами, выходил замуж только за валенсийцев и следовал законам только Валенсии, я бы себя изолировал, отделив себя от остальных испанцев. Nirgendwo sonst auf der Welt haben Zigeuner Flamenco entwickelt, nur in Andalusien. Also ist er eine Mischung aus Traditionen der Zigeuner und Einheimischen andalusischen Traditionen. Sogar etwas von den Kelten Ost darin, denn die Iren tanzen mit den Füßen etwas ähnlich.

Los gitanos en Andalucía siempre han vivido en cañadas - cuevas - barrios, y deso aparte, hasta hace relativamente poco. Eran cesteros, eran peladores de burros... pero desde hace un tiempo, o droga, o mercados ambulantes. Que ellos llaman "los mercados". @@selenep.pineda

Ces gens ont peu de valeurs que j'aime. Liberté, égalité, fraternité. Peut-être que mes valeurs sont trop anciennes. Ils sont quand même plus jeunes que les leurs. Reconnaissance éternelle car ils ont traîné la musique à travers les continents, l'ont mixée et enrichie.

Bonjour, je respecte votre opinion. J'aime la France j'y suis né. Mes ancêtres sont français également mais parcontre "Liberté, égalité, fraternité" sont des valeurs maçonniques donc de la franc maçonnerie. Pas mes valeurs à moi en tout les cas. Les gens qui ont définis ces trois mots sont des criminels, des gens dangereux, des usurpateurs, des pilleurs, des pervers et j'en passe.
La France n'est plus ce qu'elle était, je l'aime toujours autant pourtant. Mais j'aime et respecte les autres cultures, les pays plus conservateurs et traditionnelles. Qui eux à mon humble avis ne sont pas si encrés dans la culture woke et du féminisme extrémiste et j'en passe. La culture américaine du Nord ...
Qui est un poison pour tous les pays. Un poison qui est contrôlé, financé par les élites qui contrôlent tout sur cette terre et sont les maîtres des jeux. Pour nous divisés, semer le chaos, Attiser les tensions, et nous polarisés.
