You can run in hybrid mode and have 8 scenes (4 on QC, 4 on MIDI controller) and 4 stomps (QC) available at all times if you don't need a looper in a given preset. Or you can eat up 1 stomp for the looper (QC) and then control it from the QC while still being able to flip scenes stomps from the MIDI controller. You might lose 1 button on the MIDI controller but then you'd still have a mix of any 3 scenes or stomps (in any combination) you could trigger in addition to the 4 scenes/stomps on the QC. That might be a very flexible/powerful setup. Depending on the flexibility of that MIDI controller, if you swapped your EXP pedal into it and used MIDI expression control, you might be able to add something like tuner on heel down (Morningstar controllers support different "actions" in the EXP ports) where you send a MIDI message to bring up the tuner and then send it again once you move off. Don't know if that unit supports such things but might be worth a look. I will be doing some videos on QC MIDI control with Morningstar controllers soon, but I think any MIDI controller greatly expands the usability of the device. Looking forward to some MIDI enhancements in the 2.x series of releases. Best of luck with the new setup.

I'm doing Bluetooth MIDI with a CME WIDI Master plugged into the QC and controlling it from my iPad (programming Buttons in ForScore) to change presets, scenes, open gig view, etc. I don't use the looper much but that is a cool idea to have a dedicated switch for it if you do.
i HAD SAME PROBLEMS WITH THAT LOOPER. Ended up selling it, something is wrong with it, but its a great concetpt in a small package, pity its not working good.

Such as Strymon etc. Did you play with the app for setup of your QC or manually set up your Ampero to what you needed? Do you know what Hotone does for usability options with their app for integration with the QC?

I power the QC with a Cioks Hi5 mod using 3 current doubler cables (4>2>1), which leaves 1 more for the Ampero Control. For programming MIDI, take a look at @ChuckHirstius's channel, he covers everything in detail.

Yes you could make this work, however the limitation here is "Press this button" not "Turn on this effect" -- so it would either by hybrid mode, or a one-button multi-command approach that would "switch to stomp mode, press G, switch back to scene mode". As finicky as this sounds, I think it would work fine.
Currently you are limited to the functions that NDSP has defined, which are things like cycle through Modes, open/close tuner, open close looper, looper controls, and toggling a stomp that is already assigned a foot switch. This last part is the most limiting, you can't have a block learn a different foot switch message. I do think they might add this in the future, it would be so useful.

Yes that's possible, but a little more convoluted that you might expect. Keep the QC in scene mode, then program each of your midi buttons as a macro that: (1) switches to stomp mode (2) presses one of the stomp slots (A-H) (3) switches back to scene mode. Chuck Hirstius has a bunch of excellent videos of how this works with a Morningstar MIDI controller. It works well, and it happens really fast.

Many midi controllers will let you cycle between messages with the same button
