Thanks for the heads-up about the B&Z audio, I need one for my GPX. I'm in Arizona and the heat is just as bad as Australia in the summer. Excellent video as always, gorgeous speci Krissy. Thanks again Mark and Krissy.....!
Great video Mark and Crissy! Those nuggets and specie are very nice. You are very close to where they came out of the ground! Also, thank you for the continued sharing of the equipment you use. Even though I just metal detect for relics, the information you share will help me with that! Our snow is almost gone here at home so time to get outside here very soon metal detecting! Keep up the great videos. I look forward to yours with anticipation each week.
We slow down a bit when the summer hits here 🥵. We would love one day to do some relic hunting in a country with some "age" to it. We find some cool relics in the goldfields and we enjoy that as much as finding the gold 👍 Happy hunting Bruce 🍀⛏
The best relics I have found are spikes from a narrow gauge railroad from the early 1900’s. If all goes as planned this summer I will do some relic detecting at a old abandoned gold mill this summer. It ran from the 1930’s thru the 1960’s.
Thanks for sharing your outing and knowledge of equipment. Good to see you discover some color in an area already detected, congratulations. Looking forward to your next detection adventure. Very best of luck🍀. Cheers🍻
I noticed some of your detector review set up Mark & Chrissy. Maybe if you can review the detectors more in depth, performance, maintenance, battery life and what and why it works for you guys. You’re knowledge and experience is valuable. Thanks

Hi Mark, thanks for the tips re the booster. I am planning on buying a pro sonic wireless unit for my sdc2300. I am hearing impaired and already have a BZ Booster on mine but would prefer to cut down on the wiring which is like spaghetti atm. Do you think I am doing the right thing. I am assuming the Pro Sonic has its own amplifier,
Thanks Mark and Krissy for another great video. Looks great and beats the cold and Covid here in the UK. Do you have a "break even" target for each day? When do you move on? Cheers Mike.
We dont really have a target amount. If we think we've covered an area and we're no longer picking up we move. Gold detecting is a financial rollercoaster. We do it because we love the lifestyle 💛
G'day, Enjoying your videos. I have a bit of an update on the Garmin Rino 750 (purchased 2 units after watching your video) great units but Ch 40 has a internal receive signal and makes a hiss noise so is unusable on 40 locks on in scan as well. Garmin say they work as designed I beg to differ. In 2 minds get the money back or lock out Ch 40 ( use the car UHF on 40 ) and keep the Garmin radios
We dont have any relationship with garmin, but we'll shoot them an email and see if we can get a response as we would like to upgrade to the 750 units so we can use birdseye. Thanks for watching our videos and if i get a response i let you know Paul

I just started watching your vids last week and have a little catching up to do. But, I was surprised that I hadn’t seen you hunting with headphones so the title of this video intrigued me. As a beach detectorist in California, I quickly learned we “pirates” absolutely cannot beach hunt without good quality headphones that reduce the ambient sounds of wind and waves. Putting it simply, if you’re using open speakers on the beach, you’re going to miss targets. Minelab makes GREAT detectors, but the headphones they have provided for the Sovereign, Excalibur, CTX-3030, and the Equinox have been absolutely horrendous for beach detecting. For a company that is known for great beach detectors, they certainly haven’t figured out the importance of ambient noise reduction on the beach. Some off-brand aftermarket headphones boost the signal, but not the volume. They also provide EXCELLENT ambient noise reduction using standard construction earmuffs. These headphones allow us to dig those whisper signals that other detectorists never even hear. And the quality? Well, my “Skullies” have lasted me a good eight years! I’m certainly going to look into this booster. Any advantage I can get…
Headphones are definitely helpful! I prefer my double speakers through the booster though. First of all, it's usually to hot for headphones and secondly I like to hear what's happening around me in the bush.
