    Useful plugin for qgis. I used blender GIS before for 3D models, but this is much easier to georeference, and extract useful data. Thanks.

    Thanks. How can I do if the terrain is not flat? I need to make an urban representation of a mountain city, and the terrain is very relevant for study. Regards

    Rather than filter out the buildings with height of "-999" wouldn't it make more sense to just use a nominal height? (Say 5 metres). That way you still see the footprint of the building. (You could use an expression like the following to correct it :-
    if("height_av"

    Wow, this is amazing. Thank you for sharing this!! I'm wondering now if it is possible to import the 3d to sketchup... it would be 🤯🤯

    Where you have got the exact data for the height of buildings from? I use the OSM App in the program QGIS and I get everytime a sheet there are only "NULL" at the row for height in there.
    I'm a rookie and I've been tinkering now with it for almost 2 weeks 😞.... but no result ! I want to use the the data from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Do you have any tip for me. I'm looking forward for your answer and I say right now thank you for your support.

    Hi! Could you show us a complete walkthrough to do this based on OSM data from the quickOSM plugin? I'm pretty sure OSM allows us to download buildings and buildings heights but I'm a bit confused about the whole thing.

      Hello, basically the process of generating this 3D view using OSM data is the same--instead of using the flood map layer from aurin when you select the layer in the QGIS2threejs plugin, you can select the roof map / roof area layer in OSM (I forgot the exact layer name but if I remember correctly they are called roof area) once you download that / load that layer onto the qgis interface.
      And if those OSM layer have level data in it (they usually do), then it's the same process to generate the height. You can check this in the table attribute. If some area don't have level data, you can also edit that in in the table attribute. But again, this is kind of a manual work too. We can contribute these roof area drawing or level data straight onto OSM as well.

    Greetings
    Can you please provide a sample expression for the expression dialogue for me to extrude my buildings from one of my attributes in my buildings layer? The new version of the plugin only allows you to add expressions. There is no drop down box to simply select an attribute field with the height values.
    Thanks!

    • @jessicalupita8710
      @jessicalupita8710  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should find the resource of the dataset first, it can be from Open Street Map or in this case I downloaded it from AURIN. If you find a resource where they store building footprint and building height datasets for georeference, you should be able to download them as shape file to be brought onto QGIS.
