@@dg8994 If you're old enough to remember all of that, than you're sure old enough to know how miserable we have been the past decade. So a win versus a ranked team is something we don't normally accomplish these days. Instead of bashing the team for a sloppy second half, try and see the fact that we actually won a game against a ranked team on the road.

BTW, I slept in the stadium when it had dorm rooms. So I have seen a lot of UTK football over this lifetime.

Go Vols! But wow we tried to give this game away idk how many times. A lot of stuff went against us in the 1st half but the in game adjustments were critical and our defense really stepped up. I know Pitt had injuries but Slovis got banged up because of how many times we rushed him. Obviously you don’t wanna see anyone get hurt though. A lot of things to work on still, but most vol teams of the last decade would’ve lost this game. Feels good to win this game on the road like that.
I swear I said they tryna give the game away about 100 times 😂😂. This was one of them ones that’ll have you screaming at the TV the whole time

I just happened to be in Pittsburgh visiting friends during the day, 30 minutes before the game I decided to buy a ticket, I walked 3 miles across town and arrived in the middle of the first quarter, it was one of the greatest decisions of my life, this game was awesome 🙂

Bro was getting clean shot blindside rocked. RaRely a QB takes those type of clean shots and over and over and finishes a game. I could feel those blindside hits through the tv.
Tennessee has been a first quarter/half team and somehow pulled this win out with a terrible 1st q. Good win though, tested the team pretty hard.

They didnt learn from Auburn, he is a terrible in game coach. He makes zero adjustments during the game, all he does is uptempo offense and if that isn't working the team is lost.

Trust me, as a UCF fan, I was never on the Gus Bus... I know he's a great recruiter but a terrible coach... There's reason he was fired... Plumlee proved what I've been saying since he joined the team, he's an elite level athlete, but a TERRIBLE passer... That's why he didn't play QB at Ole Miss...
Exactly what I predicted because everyone said Gus' offense works better with a running QB, but the one huge problem is MOST running QBs can't throw... So when opposing defenses figure out the gimmicks and stop the run, your running QB can't save you...
And for the record we didn't run Hepuel out of town, he left because he wanted to, and on top of that he was starting to lose the team anyway... The players really started to lack discipline both on and off the field his last year here... We should have went out got Jeff Lebby, that's who I and the smarter UCF fans wanted.
Slovis and Mumfield are terrible quarterbacks. Looks like Pitt has losers for QB this year.

Defensive player needed to put down pillows before tackling him right?
😆 🤣 roughing the passer means that the defensive player hit the quarterback after the ball has been thrown.... umm no sorry that was not roughing the passer because the football was clearly still in the quarterbacks hands as our defensive end or defensive lineman slammed him to the ground causing a fumble by the quarterback.... it was obviously a clean tackle not a roughing the passer penalty 🙄
That's more an NFL thing. Roughing the passer in college is only called if it's targeting with your own helmet or if he threw the ball already.
Tennessee tried everything, EVERYTHING to lose this game. But they still got the W

That was not a particularly well-played game by UT, but they did win. Pitt missed some good scoring chances.
Be interesting to see is UT cleans up their game some.

Tennessee has a elite offense, that Hooker/Tillman duo is deadly. their defense needs to improve like crazy though especially when SEC action comes around. but their offense is legit. Huepel is building something

Ummm Pitts defense was like top 10last year .. they have a good legit defense and tennessee was shakin up a bit for a couple 2or3 drives but we figured them out and started moving the ball with consistency and scoring we put up 34 and should have scored at least 1 more if not 2more tds Cedric Tillman dropped one that he should have caught and scored foresure so... this tennessee team is not a team to overlook I promise you that... teams that overlook us or think it's gonna be a cake walk for them better be ready to play for 60min.. this tennessee football team is for real hoss belive that... I'm not saying we going undefeated or winning a championship this year but we are on the rise with coach hupel and we are no joke 💯

Pitt has nobody to blame but themselves. If not for the injury to the QB and not executing simple plays they should have won this game by 30.
If not for having a punt blocked, muffing a punt return and fumbling the ball, Pitt would've never been in the game.

If Tennessee doesn’t fumble a punt, constantly kill themselves with penalties, catch passes, and actually picks off passes, Pitt isn’t in this game.

@@MrChinesename Not gonna make any excuses as the outcome means nothing to me... But UT got extremely lucky to win this game. After knocking out the Pitt QB and allowing the backup who is average at best take this game to OT. There was bad play on both sides... The difference being Pitt had a lot more bad plays than UT did and it cost them the game. Can't go doing bad shit when you are down your QB and expect to win a game.
Tennessee made so many mistakes, if CT catches that one TD pass, or if they don't fumble or muff the ball, or if our LB caught the two dropped picks the Pitt QB threw right at him...
@@fishersofmen4727 right. Both teams made a bunch of mistakes and Tennessee was lucky enough to capitalize more, but I honestly don't think we should have won. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we did win, but I don't want it going to people's heads because we could have just as easily lost. When we're playing Bama and Georgia people are going to wonder how we threw so many picks.
