As someone who delves deep into the depths of "no maw/kinship builds" i appreciate this video 👌 Bellara's immovable + taash also can make fire abilities crit non stop! Mage has so much depth. Wish they put the same effort into warrior/rogue skill tree
I went death caller specialization and cold mage (control) . Choose to make control abilities on cool down. I can rock Ice blast, frost nova and dark call without using Mana. Or mix in an ability using mana like necrotic ground ability. The 200% staff damage and using life as mana and the 50% health leech buff. You can just spam the ranged staff beam all day long and constantly heal and do damage on enemies. Probably the easiest mage and most overall damage.
I actually have been working on a hybrid of your rain of fire mage and the stagger heavy option with this one. I’m using mage’s gambit, thorn of misfortune, call of the hall and amaranthine loop with stagger upgrades in the tree, but also using meteor, arcane strikes and void blade. I’m also using heart if Andraste amulet to further buff enhanced damage for the whole party. (I have Lucanis to auto pop it)
Absolutely love this build! I wanna play an action game so i dont dont wanna focus on habilities, its nice to see some good arcane bombs options! Probably Rogue can get the most attack damage, but i like the roleplay and flashy attacks of the mage better I'll probably try the takedown build!
If you use The Bargain staff you get "infinite mana" by using life instead of mana too. So you free up all the points you put into mana/mana regen. Personally I used the dagger that made Arcane Bomb detonations crits (like you did) and focused on Charge attacks to detonate them instead of Spirit Blade. The perk that deals 50% more damage if you release the charged attack at the right time is so satisfying to use haha
Yea I didn't really ever feel like I was hurting for mana with the build but it's definitely an option, and charged attacks detonations is interesting I didn't think of that, as long as you can detonate from afar though that's the big thing with the squishy spellblade
Yes, you just have to find them all but every item is fully upgradeable. Some of the items are locked in one time areas though so you gotta keep a lookout.
youtube is kind of hit and miss on upgrade videos for gear, if you combine multiple yt vids with regular web searches you can often find enough information to avoid missing legendary, the vendor in the final quest right before the final fight will quite often have what you need as well if you are missing one legendary.
Awesome build! Love that this one is a little more melee focused!

Mage is the best class in this game and most damage😎👍

@@Red_Gael Yeah, the charged heavy attack hits pretty far.
I was playing this one, without knowing about the video. It was fun. Then I tried the one in the other video... Oh man.
2:15 wdym by "run into the fray"?
Btw, love your content, your builds are well thought out and presented well!
Run into the fight/middle of the battlefield to give tempest the most area of effect
Nice 👍🏻
Is it possible to turn any item into a Legendary ? is there enough duplicate for each item in the game ?

@@veloway alright thanks
Timeworn is amazing but at that time im not using it because cost so much mana sigh.
What build you had the most fun? This or evoker?
The other spellblade build was pretty fun for awhile, but Evoker before this one for sure
What does more damage this or Rain of fire?
Rain of Fire by far
